you know, an Eldritch Gotham who loves Bruce Wayne but needs Batman makes a lot of sense. because Bruce Wayne needs to be Batman and hates Bruce Wayne. so no matter how much good he can do as a civilian, it’s never enough to satisfy that self-hatred and feelings of failure, while Gotham cherishes Bruce Wayne as he is, for his heart and his family and his ability to never give up, to always be flexible to what the situation needs. but she needs Batman, and her second favorite is the one with the greatest potential to actually shift the scales in her favor.
