rectify was so good. give us that again.
Unfortunately I am 100% certain that we will never see anything quite like Rectify again. The pace and rhythm of it, and the nature of the story as a whole was so unique. I could still cry on the spot thinking of certain scenes. But hey, we were blessed to have it when we did!

Nothing will fill the void. It feels similar to that time I finished SFU. I was a mess for quite some time and the show stays with you. Recently, I really appreciated Top of the Lake as a unique experience. Jane Campion has such a distinct voice. So I loved that. But finding something like HACF with characters like Donna and Cam. I think we’ve been spoiled.
I haven’t watched Top of the Lake, but I’ve heard good things. And I love watching stories told with a woman’s voice, and wish I had more opportunities to do so. I think that’s definitely something I should visit. I’m assuming by SFU you mean Six Feet Under? If so - I watched the first few seasons of that YEARS ago, and never finished. It probably won’t be any time super soon, but maybe that’s something I should re-visit at some point too.
