with the posting of miss celicent tyrell, i have now completed the intial round of great house ocs for my asoiaf au! i really hope that i was able to convey the range of character i tried to create while maintaining the influence from the source material. i had so much fun making the individual edits and writing the little blurbs, and while i don't know exactly what i intended to do with them, i know they're not gonna just be one-offs.
i still have two more posts i want to make to contribute to the au, with one yi ti sim and three free city (the three will be posted as a single trio) sims, before i look at maybe focusing on smaller houses, but as it stands, i'm very happy with how things came out.
i also want to do more with my targaryen-specific au, like with maelyrus, daerys, haelria, and ashana, including introducing the husbands of haelria and ashana-- as well as recreating some canon characters as i conclude my reading of f&b.
all of this is to say thank you for the people, moots and non-followers, who engaged with my bunk ass posts and made me smile when they liked and commented! i've been able to immerse so much into asoiaf simblr, and i'm really happy about it all! i hope its been enjoyable to read the character descriptions and look at the edits, and i'm excited to try and build upon what i've established.

do i dare...DO I DARE try to start another project on this account!? an in-game story?! i need to get off my timeline, i see too many awesome legacy stories and storyline-based things and i'm just so enthralled...
abouuuut 1/3 of the way done with my great houses ocs, and so far, i'm pretty happy with the results. i have all the cas screenshots, just doing the edits one by one, and i'm hoping that my intentional differentiation in features is helping avoid same-face-syndrome...but who knows and atp, it's too late (it's not, it's a game ik, ik)!!
i think i've enjoyed writing their little blurbs/descriptions the most, it's a fun challenge trying to come up with ways to fit them into the canon and write in a grrm-adjacent style, even though i feel like i sound stupid and repetitive. asΓ es la vida ig
i hope my bunk ass edits are cool to look at nonetheless, and if you do take the time to read the long ass descriptions, i feel honored ^.^
do i dare try to draw maelyrus' dragon on paper? i want to bring him to life because i feel like he reflects maelyrus in a lot of ways, but i haven't taken art seriously in years, much less something so detailed...decisions, decisions...

i think my plan at this point is to create ocs from every region (primarily of westeros), with the main westerosi ocs being members of pre-existing houses...but i wanna interject each new oc while building on my older ones.
idk if i'll actually do it because i don't wanna oversaturate and overuse the asoiaf framework, plus idk if i'll want to try and come up with ongoing, extensive lore for each character because i can't help it otherwise, and i don't wanna be annoying/pretentious
i also might just do one huge oc post of each house, but i also don't know how i'd write for it, and i don't know if i'd be happy with that especially if it ends up feeling forced or lazy
i guess we'll see, this is basically just a stream of consciousness of me going back and forth on what i want to do...urgh, damn my stupid chungus brain (-.-)
i literally just said i'd likely never watch asoiaf or finish got, but i was doomscrolling on twitter and ppl are obvi talking about the new episodes.

not that anyone was necessarily "looking out" for my non-asoiaf content, i do apologize for the asoiaf streak i'm set for
currently, the universe of asoiaf is my mind's focus, whether it be reading the novels, researching and learning about the characters obscure and well-known, creating ocs that let me explore grrm's world-building, or writing my own entries in a martin-adjacent prose that lets me further explore my love of writing that i haven't really touched in a long time
ideally, i'll be able to interject the asoiaf posts with unrelated ones, but idk if i'll be able to separate my mind from the books for a good while, and i downloaded so much medieval, royal, fantasy, and specifically asoiaf cc that i can't imagine having taken hours to find it all and not use it (>.<)
