After the enlightening meeting at the philosophy museum, I visited the grave of Kitaro Nishida, a prominent figure in Japanese philosophy. His ashes are divided among three graves in significant places: one in Unoke, another in Kyoto, and the last in Kamakura. The journey to these sites felt like a pilgrimage as I reflected on Nishida's contributions to thought and his exploration of the intersection between Eastern and Western philosophies. With each step, I looked forward to honouring his legacy in these storied locations.

-- 西田幾多郎記念哲学館を訪れた翌朝、西田のお墓参りをすることにしました。彼の遺骨は三箇所に分葬されています。ひとつは宇野気、もうひとつは京都、最後に晩年を過ごした鎌倉です。この墓参は、西洋と東洋の相反する考えをなんとか繋ぎ止めようとした西田の功績を讃える巡礼の旅でもあります。彼にまつわる伝説をなぞるような感覚で一歩一歩、歩きました。
