Komatsu, Ishikawa — Quiet Corners of Hokuriku
Komatsu, Ishikawa ended up being one of those places that quietly unfolds on you.
Not a checklist destination. Not optimized for influencers. Just an industrial Hokuriku city with incredible seafood, deeply local hot spring culture, retro community spaces, and mountains constantly hovering in the distance.

Neighborhood sushi energy. Quiet counter, local regulars, excellent seafood without ceremony.

Part café, part community hub, part retro memory capsule. One of the most interesting spaces near Komatsu Station.

Private reservable baths attached to Komatsu Green Hotel. Surprisingly affordable and deeply relaxing after a long day.

♨️ Awazu Onsen Public Bath
Old Hokuriku onsen-town atmosphere. Lanterns, quiet streets, slightly faded charm in the best way possible.

Probably my favorite bath of the trip. Forest air, open-air baths, silence, and the feeling of time slowing down.

Komatsu feels like a place where everyday life still outweighs tourism.
Regional cafés full of students and retirees. Quiet sushi counters. Rural baths with regulars soaking silently while rain hits the mountains outside.
Honestly one of the most relaxing trips I’ve had in Japan.
