Attributed to Erik Wahlbergson (b.1808 - d.1865) 'Siblings with an illustrated book', oil on canvas, no date (1840s?), Swedish, for sale est. 10,000 SEK in Bukowski's Classical Antiques sale, February 2025.

Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale (b.1871 - d.1945), 'Truth or Fiction', pencil and watercolour on artist's board, no date (1800s/1900s), British, for sale for est. 15,000 - 20,000 GBP in Christie's British & European Art sale, November & December 2020.

Possibly a study for a tapestry 'La Noble Pastorale', which was never completed. Formerly from the collection of Etienne Arago (b.1802 - d.1892), noted writer and politician, then the Baron de Beurnonville, 1881.

Unknown Artist, 'Leaving for the Ball', oil on canvas, no date (18th century), currently in the collection of the Louvre, Paris, France; recovered during WWII and on hold until the return to the rightful owner.

The Louvre reports this work was 'exchanged' with the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg in Paris for a Gaugin and two Matisse paintings, in 1942, and transferred to the Louvre in 1950. The ERR was a Nazi organisation which claimed many works of art and other cultural materials - in particular Jewish and Freemasons collections.

Unknown Artist, 'Mars Embracing Venus', oil on canvas, no date (18th century), French, currently in the collection of the Louvre, Paris, France. The Louvre notes that the composition seems to be inspired by a work seen represented in the top half of Jean Francois de Troy's 'The Declaration of Love', featuring what appears to be a Diana, now in the collection of the Met Museum in New York, pictured above.
