My final website!

This is the final (1920 x 1080) version of our animation. I’m quite proud of how this turned out in the end, and thought the team did really well. I enjoyed doing my part, and working on my 2D skills, as it’s something I don’t get to do too often. 

This is my  personal experiment showreel for the Listening Project. It has all my experiments throughout my time working on the project.

Here I have some evidence of competition involvement/understanding of freelance. I had entered an illustration piece into a competition run by 1340 gallery to feature in their magazine. Unfortunately I didn’t get into the next stage, but it was an experience nonetheless. I also found a stop motion freelance animator, and really liked his work. I had recognised some from his showreel and decided to email him to see if I could get any more information or hopefully advice on freelancing and the animation industry. I am yet to receive a response, and probably won’t get one, but it would be amazing if I could!

Really helpful document on how to conduct an interview for research. It explains the routes you should take when doing an interview, it includes the ethics and limitations of an interview. This helped me write my section on the limitations and how I would try not to make my questionnaire biased for my proposal. 

An example of how CG rose in the industry. 

It was also influencing to see his thoughts on the Stop Motion industry with the growing of CG animation. He talks about CG always having more projects because there are always more animators willing to learn about CG, whereas in Stop Motion, there is only so little - and only 1 or 2 feature films a year. It’s interesting to see these points as this really helps with my research into how CG   risks the future of Stop Motion. I think this interview is something I want to include in my proposal - if not add him to a list of people I would like to interview.
