91 semester units, although your records will indicate the number of units completed via AP and the number of units completed via college coursework.

You won’t have “too many” units unless you've completed college coursework outside of the California Community Colleges System.

You’re in luck. I’ve been told by both a UC representative and a PCC counselor that the UC admissions committee does take positive grade trends into consideration. This is especially relevant if they are comparing two people with the same kinds of qualifications and the same cumulative GPA.

Put simply, let’s say one student got a 4.0 in their first semester and a 3.5 in a subsequent semester. Another student got the reverse (3.5 in the first semester and 4.0 in the subsequent semester). If both students have the same qualifications, then the latter student may get a lead.

Top UC schools like Berkeley and LA might be ruthless and not grant admission, but even then, an upward trend is always a good thing to show.

It's stupid that I'm probably going to have to choose a mandatory G.E over an 'optional' dance class with a brilliant professor because it 'only' fulfills my needs as an artist but unfortunately not my degree's (which is in theatre... WHAT?).

It's stupid that my friends and I are questioning if we'll graduate on schedule, even with all the AP classes & summer/winter sessions we took/are taking.

It's stupid that we have to drop extra money like deuces just to take these summer/winter sessions because it's impossible to finish on time relying only on fall and spring semesters.

It's stupid that California public education is taking a backseat while somewhere out there are these crazy fucking yahoos rolling around and wiping their asses with money they stumbled upon because of selfishness and immorality.

I just had my major advising... Ugh. I have another 3 years of undergrad... Not because I'm hella behind, but because I have too many classes to take and it's impossible to fit it in 4 years. It is even more impossible with this 15 unit cap that we have. :( Summer school is an option, but I can't take them at a community college because the classes I need to take are upper division and paying $2000+ just for one or two classes is too much. I'm just hoping I get the classes I need next semester.

Good news is, after I'm done with undergrad, I can go straight to doctorate because I don't have to take my masters... :)
