heres a funny evangelion thing i noticed on one of the most overlooked yet emphasized features: the shoulders
I am certain that I am not the only one who has noticed that the shoulders on the Eva Units AND angels have greatly exaggerated and longer proportions!
All 4 of the units in the original 90’s series have this feature! You know who also had this feature?

Some angels also have it as well! Sachiel, and the prototype designs for Zeruel show greatly distanced shoulders. Even if they were never used in the actual series, it shows how common the shoulder build is.
The design choice was ultimately changed in the rebuild, with the proportions more similar to a human.
In conclusion, it really makes me wonder if it was just an exaggerated design choice, or if it was a more hidden motif.
IMO, it could possibly represent how despite the angels and Eva Units *technically* being human, theres still something to set them apart. After all, the interior form is more uncanny, with missing/changed features in the face, chest, and shoulder area.
