My city these days
My city these days is like bolt of light,
Flickering its power; displaying all its might.
Like a blanket of anger covering it's beautiful landscape,
My city these days is under the rain-man's cape.
Thick black clouds and the fog unclear,
Makes it difficult to fathom all that I fear;
My city these days is like a bubble lost on river,
Ready to burst and drown any time near.
As though a cloud has swallowed the buildings ahead,
Chilly breeze is connecting my city like a thread.
Absent roads make way back home an adventure,
My city these days has its wheels totally punctured.
Show some mercy dear God of rain,
Don't bring night in a bright blue day.
Let there be sunshine and hope around,
People of my city are not used to the way you now choose to astound..
