The Girl of Champagne: On September 13th of 1731, villagers in the small French providence of Champagne discover a nine-year-old girl who had been left to grow up in the forests, without any human contact. She was first discovered living in treetops. Her thumbs showed distended joins, which clued investigators in that she had been swing from tree to tree, most of her life. When a dog approached her, she clubbed it on the head and began skinning it. The Seeahtik Disclosure: On July 15th of 1924, The Oregonian covered a rash of "giant hairy Indian" sightings and printed disclosures from the Clallam tribal leaders, which predated any western awareness of the (yet to be named) Bigfoot legend... the tribe stated frankly that the giant Indians, which were being seen were members of the Seeahtik tribe, who seperated themselves from the culture of other Indians and lived in the most remote areas of the forests and mountains. The article went into some detail, discussing the Seeahtik's language, ability to mimic other animals while hunting, and their use of birds as lookouts on their behalf... it even detailed their use of an elaborate system of caves on Vancouver Island, as shelter during the winter months. The Ape Canyon Incident: On July 10th of 1924, a group of five prospectors in the Lewis River area of Mt Saint Helens, Washington, happened upon two peaceful, giant, hairy female beings in the forest... the men raised their riffles and shot both of them, grazing one in the head and shooting the other in the back, before it fell into a gorge. That evening they went back to their cabin. In the dead of the night the small wooden cabin was pummeled with rocks, and shaken by an entire group of angry hairy people.
