Here are some redesign concept designs (and lore drops in general) on how the monsters, humans and underground relatively look.

A brief explanation, this au takes place in a world where, the monsters are inflicted by a curse known as the “blood moon curse”. This curse was made as a “gotcha” tactic by the ancient sorcerers, who cared very little of the consequences it would have on monster society.

What does this curse do? It drains monsters of their magic.

Because magic, much like our souls, is the very essence that makes a monsters physical form, as well as their own personal expression- draining monsters of magic corrupts their minds and bodies to an almost zombie like form. Once bathed directly under the light of the red moon, monsters are only able to HUNGER for more magic to refill their gauge (aka, the amount of magic a monster needs to stay healthy.)

This means that, there are 3 ways to deal with cursed monster:

1.) refill their magic gauge by supplying them with your own magic via feeding them with your own attacks (health or damage, doesn’t matter.) this will essentially “heal them” from the curse as long as the supply is constant (just wait until the sun rises/the blood moon goes away and then your fully “cured”).

2.) be eaten by a cursed monster. Dust, magic attacks, monsters, human souls, all contain SOME form of magic. If it has magic, the cursed monster will be derived to consume its essence and refill their own gauge. Depending on how long they’ve been affected by the curse, or how much magic they need to refill, will justify the amount of magic they need to consume.

3.) kill the cursed monster. Because the blood moon affects all monsters, conserving magical resources is important to staying alive. In this world, it’s consume or be consumed. Which means you have to kill your cursed brother, because if you don’t you’ll end up just like him.

Old men and women, +shitty adults and hard decisions that result in pain for all sides. Cute goats too. Might need to work on the designs a bit more. Still don’t know the name of the red soul warrior.

Im pretty proud on how alphys looks though, and i gave sans pants. Bcs the mans needed it.

They're designs are a work in progress but its nice to post them on tumblr while im writing the story/characters.

whoop! some fresh computer art! (wow its been a long time) this is UNDERWILD!papyrus and sans! tada!~

PAPYRUS:

papyrus’s cape is ripped  and damaged. if you ask why, he says, “sometimes you lose battles against clothes. and rage quit.” it isn’t the legit answer, but its an answer!

papyrus’s clothes make him look much more bigger than an average papyrus! he’s tall and large, how intimidating!

his costume is designed to look as strong as an actual royal guard Armour! the black plates, are actually scrap metal he’s found around lying around. its not too strong, but it makes a bold statement.

his costume also has a large claw mark on the side. when asked about it, he normally shrugs it off, or tells you “to mind your business.” to be honest, sans doesn’t even know what happened to him. but it sure as hell looks cool.

he has a crack in his skull. NEVER ASK ABOUT IT.  ESPECIALLY WHEN SANS IS THERE. papyrus completely shuts down when you do ask. he rather not talk about it. ever. and sans.... well he doesn’t play nice once your alone. rumor says sans did it. but theres no proof, neither skeleton lets up, and sans always seems empathetic of it.

papyrus’s costume looked much more nicer before. its completely ruined now. maybe frisk could help with that.

despite appearances, he has a heart of gold. so golden, that he can’t join the royal guard because of it.

has a questionable amount of LV. once asked he just smiles and says “some things are best left forgotten.” once pestered constantly, he simply gives a sympathetic smile, and tries to distract you. because you will fail ever trying to get an answer out of him. oh, and don’t ask sans, he doesn’t know either.

blue colored pupils. (though its hard to tell. its so dark it almost looks black.)

KILL OR BE KILLED leans more towards “be killed” 

SANS:

tbh, definitely not the guy you’d want to get on his.. “bad” side.

never made a promise with toriel. (good luck on that one frisk.)

even though he is the same size as og sans, (similar to papyrus) he is size is much more... thinner. no, not beacuse he’s starving or something, its cause he wears a little more tighter clothing. 

alot faster and quieter than og sans (due to clothing type. cuz its tighter and lighter than a normal sweater, slippers, and shorts.)

not afraid to murder you. instantly. no sweat, right? (hates slow murders. feels conscious or guilty of it, and normally helps them out afterwards, instead of killing them.)

black shirt thats ripped in the collar area, long pants, soft shoes (those sneakers w/ boot-upers), his sweater fluff has a weird texture (that doesn’t feel soft.) and sometimes  sans can form the fluff  and does little devil horns.(or cat ears if he’s feeling cute)

hates -er..disikes humans with a passion. sometimes blames them for most problems in the underground. (in which case 50% of the time, they actually are the problem. but they are not the cause FOR THE SINK CLOG SANS. FIX THE GODAMN SINK SAAANNSS) 

calls frisk “human” or “Human kid”. and once befreinded they just call them either by name, or “kid”.. and once you hear kiddo, he’s planning a prank.

almost always has his hoodie up. normally has it down, when alone, with papyrus, or he’s attending a special event. (normally wears a blue beanie, even in hot climates, when attending special events that cant let him wear his sweater

drinks bbq sauce. (yes bbq sauce, you heard that right. he has a specific set of skills for a specific set of things, and one of those is being able to closely examine and name every bbq sauce flavor, no matter what container it is in.)

KILL OR BE KILLED. leans more towards KILL.

he isn’t all that bad. he’d defend any monster out of just general kindness. but he spites humans so, i guess it gets complicated from there.

quite the prankster. 

a little bit sadistic.  schadenfreude mabye.

red pupils! (one is brighter than the other. the brighter one might even glower and simmer when hes pissed or in “wild mode”
