Saturday 20 October: pop-up restaurant meets underground dinner party...

UndertheCarpet Supper Club: an innovative, electrifying and unique dining experience, somewhere on the line where pop-up restaurant meets underground dinner party.  Think of us as a restaurant without the formality, but with all the yummy food and exciting conversation.  And you can bring as much, or as little, wine as you like!  And as an underground experience, full of candles and surprises, delightful food and sparkling drinks - if the council decides to drop in we’ll just start a rousing “Happy Birthday” or something.  What fun!

And you lovely, lucky people are invited to our first inaugural UndertheCarpet Supper Club, and all the quirkiness that brings.   And what better way to kick things off than by having a Carnival! 

Think Notting Hill moves to Rio, and let your imaginations run wild with sequins and feathers, glitter and bangles.  Of course, masks are a must.  Once you’ve stepped over the threshold, (yes there’s a password, no you’re not having it until you’ve made a donation) we’ll be cooking up a storm for you, a five course dinner with all the trimmings, leaving you to revel in carnival delights and get to know your fellow guests.

The menu is a set, and yes, subject to change on the night.  You never know, the fishmonger may have the flu or the oven catch alight.  Hopefully not, so changes shouldn’t be too drastic.  If you do have any specific dietary requirements however, drop us a call/email and we’ll try work it out!  We’ll release the full menu in a day or two to get your mouth watering.

For our first event, there are only 16 tickets available.  No, you don’t get to choose where you sit.  If you buy tickets together and we’re in a good mood, you might be on the same table, but half the fun is diving in and finding out what turns your neighbour on.  If it really matters to you, drop us a quick call/email and I’ll play friendly.

A donation for your ticket is needed to cover food and our time, and hopefully make some preparations for the next event!  Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday.  You’ll eat the five course meal below and be surrounded by super company and amazing conversation for the evening – and unlike a restaurant, we won’t want your table back by 9pm.   Just bring yourselves, your stories and a bottle of wine.  Oh, and your carnival mask!

The location of the first inaugural exciting brilliant sparkly and shiny UndertheCarpet Supper Club won’t be released to you until you reserve a ticket.  But it’s likely to be a beautiful Edinburgh flat (and not mine!).

So ladies and gentlemen, you’re special to us and we’re inviting you to the UndertheCarpet Supper Club’s Inaugural Carnival.  We want you and your best friend to be a part of this revolution.  Come expecting the best, the worst, and glitter – it’ll be a lot of fun.
