She came through hell on Earth, and she is finally free.

Yuliia Paievska, aka Taira, is a Ukrainian medic, volunteer, designer, and aikido teacher 🇺🇦 When the Russian army invaded Mariupol, Taira was helping the people of the city. In March, she was trying to evacuate women and children from the besieged city. That's when the Russian invaders recognized her.

In captivity, Taira was kept in the 3x6 meter (10x20 foot) cell with 22 other women. Inside the high-security prison, they were forced to sing the Russian national anthem two-three times a day, sometimes up to 20-30 times. Prisoners were constantly beaten, didn't have adequate food, and were psychologically pressured.

Despite three months of captivity, she has many plans and keeps moving on. She is undergoing recovery and dreams of helping the country and the people again 💪
