Request— I love your writing the way your write all the drivers as dad 🥹 so cute could you do like Lila as a toddler maybe hearing lando call Oscar osc and she repeats it to him or something cute and fluff it’s okay if you don’t do it -🫶🏻

Lila was usually independent at the track. Walking around, handing out stickers and such. Today happened to be different, all she wanted to do was be held by Lando. He obliged, it was quality time he liked spending with her.

They were nearly done for the day and Lando was packing things up. He would narrate what they were going to do and such. She was a girl of only a few words, like ‘mama’ or ‘daddy’ or short words. So the doctor suggested to talk with her even if she wouldn’t respond, just to kickstart the sentences or fragments.

“Once we leave we’re going to go home and see mama, then we’ll eat dinner and go to bed.” He was saying. Oscar knocked and said his farewell. “Bye Osc, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He said returning his voice to normal for his teammate.

“Bye, bye bug.” Oscar said to Lila. She waved back as he left. Lando kept on his rambling sentences and she listened. He got her in the car and she rambled and made noises.

“Os, Os, Os.” He heard. He awed internally, not wanting her to stop. It was adorable cooing. They got home and he took her out of the car. “Mama!” She babbled when they walk in.

“Hey my sweet girl!” She said, crouching to the 2-year-old. “How was your day? Did daddy take you out on track?” She asked. Lila nodded and looked to the tall man hovering to get a kiss from his wife.

“She learned a new word today.” He whispered with a smile and light chuckle. “Who did we say bye-bye to?” Lando asked, hoping she connected the name to the face.

“Os!” She exclaimed. Her mum nearly doubled over at the cuteness of her daughter. “Bye-bye os.” She repeated.

“You said bye-bye to Os?” Her mum asked. Lila smiled and reached for her mum. She got what she wanted and was picked up. “I bet Os is going to love that.” She said.

“I’m not telling him, he’s going to find out tomorrow.” Lando laughed. “Is that not the cutest thing?”

“Well what can Lila do that isn’t cute?” She asked. “Look at her face.” She pinched one of the little girls cheeks and Lila giggled.

The next day they arrived on track and Lando settled in his driver room with the little girl. Oscar knocked and opened the door. Before he could get any words out he heard Lila. “Os!” She exclaimed and hugged his leg.

Oscar looked to Lando, smiling ear to ear. “Hey bug!” He greeted her. “You know my name now.” He said looking more to Lando.

“Bye-bye Os.” She said. Lando laughed and Oscar joined him. “Os.” She repeated again and again.

“Isn’t she the cutest little thing?” Lando asked smiling at her repeating the nickname. “Os is right there sweetheart, see?” He pointed to him.

“Bye-bye Os.” She said again and Lando laughed. He explained Oscar isn’t leaving and picked her up to walk out with Oscar.

Request— Can you pls write a dad Lando fic where toddler daughter gets a cold while in the garage but her dad is busy so Oscar looks after her and she loves him sm by the end of the day

Lila loved the paddock, not because she had the best time— no because she got to see tio Los. Lando, today, however woke up late and got to the track late. It was media day but he had the most to do and so Lila stayed with Oscar instead of her favorite uncle.

She threw her overdramatic fit and Oscar waited her out, knowing Lando doesn’t coddle her all too much when she’s crying over nothing. It broke his heart though.

“I want tio Los!” She screamed at Oscar. Her face turned red as she cried and Oscar frowned at her. He wanted to offer her comfort but she wouldn’t budge.

“I understand that bug, but tio Los has media today.” Oscar said calm. “Tell you what, you give me a cuddle and we can go find daddy and tio Los after, yeah?” She sniffled and cautiously neared Oscar.

He scooped her into his lap and wrapped an arm around her. His other hand threaded through her hair before catching a tangle and she batted his hand away.

“Did daddy forget to do your curls bug?” He asked softly. She nodded and sniffled again. “Can I braid your hair? My sisters taught me how to make them pretty.” He tried. Lila had never had her hair braided.

“Daddy does two pony tails.” She whined. “He forgot to today.” Her voice sounded more nasally than usual and Oscar started to wonder if she was coming down with something and that’s why she threw such a big tantrum minutes ago.

“Osc can do two braids, they start right here and they go all the way until your hair ends.” He pointed to her scalp and ran a hand through her long hair. She giggled somewhat and nodded at him. “Yeah? I can do braids for you?” He smiled.

He turned her in his lap and grabbed his bag, having ponytail holders for his girlfriend or sisters on hand. He hummed while braiding Lila’s hair. It wasn’t much of a challenge even if she was squirming and moving, he had practice with his sisters.

“All done! You can look in my mirror and see how pretty you are bug!” She got up and walked to his mirror and smiled big at the braids he did. She ran back and hugged him.

“Thank you Osc!” She said muffled by his shirt. He rubbed her back soothingly, glad she isn’t upset anymore. She sniffled again once she back up and Oscar noticed.

“Do you need to blow your nose bug?” He asked. She nodded and he got a tissue to help her clear her sinuses. “Good job! Do you want to go see all the cool screens now?” He asked.

“Like the ones daddy and tio Los look at?” She asked intrigued. Oscar nodded with a smile and she agreed. He held her hand as they walked to the telemetry screens and Lando’s engineer, Jon.

“Hey little Lila.” He greeted her. Oscar offered to pick her up and she went willingly so she could see the screens better. “Who did your hair today? Daddy doesn’t know how to braid.” Jon asked her.

She giggled and pointed to Oscar. “Osc did! He made them pretty.” Jon pulled up colorful charts and cool graphics for Lila to be able to be intrigued. It didn’t last long when she spotted a tv playing the live feed from the press. “Daddy!” She pointed.

Oscar and Jon turned their heads to her pointing finger and saw Lando, Carlos, and Yuki on the couch speaking with journalists. “And tio Los bug.” Oscar said. “See? He didn’t forget about you.”

She giggled and watched intently as they made jokes and laughed during the interview. When it was done Oscar walked to meet them near the exit. “Tio Los, look Osc did my hair!” She beamed.

“Oh my goodness! Look at you Lila!” Carlos responded. She shied away into Oscar and Lando smiled. She would usually go to Carlos in a heartbeat, but instead clung to Oscar now.

“I think she’s getting sick Lan, her nose hasn’t stopped running even after she stopped screaming at me.” Oscar mentioned. “She’s a really good kid though.”

“How are you feeling sweetheart?” Lando asked her. His wife had mentioned that Lila felt warm but he didn’t think much of it until now. She whined and reached out to Lando.

“Osc is fun.” She said softly in her nasally voice. A few more sniffles gave Lando all he needed to know about her definitely getting sick. “He braided my hair pretty like his sisters.” She added.

“I see that sweetheart, let’s go and give mama a call.” Lando said adding a kiss to the girls head before walking back to McLarens garage.

The MTC was no place for unsupervised tiny humans, but when Lila saw Oscar sprint by- she couldn’t resist. “Daddy, Osc!!” She squealed when Lando caught her arm. Lila pulled with all her strength, his grip unwavering. He was on the phone and couldn’t scold her for trying to run away.

“Yeah, let me check real quick.” He said on the phone, pulling his little girl back into his office. She sat on his couch with a pout while he finished his call. Oscar walked by again and Lila was able to sneak past Lando. When he finished his call he turned to talk to her but she wasn’t there. Immediate panic set in.

On the other hand, Oscar just noticed the little girl tailing him. “Hey bug, where’s daddy?” He asked. He crouched to her level and Lila pouted at him, giving him doll eyes. “What’s wrong?”

“Daddy is on a call.” She explained. “Being mean.” She continued. Her dad was not being mean, he was working. Oscar knew that. He had work of his own to be doing, however it was get done whenever work. Lando’s work was more timed and planned out. “I’m hungry Osc.” She whined to him.

“Ok bug, let’s go get a snack then hm?” He offered. Lila nodded her head and bounced excitedly at his offer. He stood back up and gave her his hand. She held his finger as they walked. They got to the break room stocked with snacks. “Alright let’s see, what kind of snack do you want?” Oscar asked, opening a pantry of foods.

“Animal crackers!” She said and pointed towards the pantry. Oscar located the snack and grabbed a baggie to put some in for her. “Thank you!” Lila exclaimed, sitting at one of the tables with Oscar.

“Of course bug. Does daddy know where you are?” He asked. He knew her like the back of his hand, especially when she would lie to him. “If not he might be mad at me.” He explained.

Lila looked at him with a guilty face and gave it away. “Daddy isn’t mad.” She inquired. As if Lando could hear their conversation, his contact lit up Oscar’s phone.

“Oh! Look at who it is!” He said showing her the phone. He answered and Lando’s panic could be heard through the phone as he explained his situation, not knowing Oscar had Lila.

“Daddy!” She squealed and a sigh of relief could be heard from the man. “Osc gave me a snack!” She explained. Lando was now on his way to the break room while Oscar talked with him about a bit of business. As if she was a master of disguise, Lila slipped away again.

Her favorite place in the MTC was the walkway looking over, unlucky to Lando and Oscar, it was placed right outside the break room. Lila started climbing the stairs with gaps in between, but when she missed one because her foot got stuck, she fell down the 3 steps she did make. Lila’s scream echoed loudly around the high ceilings.

Lando had started running after hearing her scream and saw her lying on the floor by the steps. “What happened?” He asked in a soft voice. “Does anything hurt sweetheart?” Lila just screamed louder at him with her hand near her mouth. “Okay sweetheart, I need you to breathe for me, can you do that?” He asked.

Oscar was now shadowing. Lila’s face was red and covered in tears. She hiccupped from crying so hard and Lando rubbed her belly to catch her attention. It didn’t do much, her ankle was in excruciating pain. Lando didn’t know of that until he tried to stand her up and she screamed again. He sat on the stairs and put Lila on his lap.

“Does your foot hurt?” He asked, trying to stay calm as she screamed at him. Lila nodded and continued to cry loudly. Lando delicately took off her shoes and socks, her left ankle red and swollen. “Can you look at me sweetheart?” He asked. Lila turned her head, now just breathing irregularly from running out of breath. “You’re okay.” He reassured her. She cuddled into his chest and he continued to soothe her.

“Are the medical trainers here today?” Oscar was now on the phone with reception, which was placed on the opposite side of the Centre. Oscar nodded to Lando who stood up and began walking to the trainers department. He saw Jon, his trainer first.

“Hey! What’s going on?” He asked, noticing the little girls face pink from crying. Lando showed Jon her ankle and she winced. “Let’s see, can you put her on my table? I have to go get some supplies.” Lando sat her down on a training table and she wouldn’t let go of his shirt.

He knew Lila was in pain and couldn’t resist her look at him. He sat on the table and then put her on his lap. She cuddled her head into his chest again. When Jon returned with wraps and things he asked how it even happened. “I was on a call, she saw Oscar, Oscar brought her for a snack, and she tried to climb the overview stairs by herself.” Lando explained.

“Oh no!” Jon said. “Is that how you hurt your ankle little Norris?” He asked her now. A little smile peeked from her lips but she shied away. “I heard that your dad also likes the overview.” He whispered to her. Lila giggled.

“Are there pain meds we can give her? I’m sure she’s uncomfortable as all hell right now.” Lando asked. Jon nodded and returned with a syringe of purple medicine and a water cup. “It’ll make you feel better sweetheart okay?” Lando told her. She took the medicine with barely any fuss.

Jon began wrapping her ankle delicately, but professionally. Lila winced and held onto Lando’s shirt like her life depended on it. When Jon got to the main break in her ankle she wailed and Lando held her head against him so she didn’t look. “I know, I’m sorry to be the bad guy.” Jon said.

He finished wrapping her ankle temporarily until Lando could get her to a hospital. The MTC isn’t exactly rural. Lando brought Lila back to the break room and got her a capri sun to ease her nerves. He also snagged the animal cookies from earlier and walked to his office to grab his things before heading out with her.
