Uncle: That's good. This time, you have gotten the support of many legal workers, so many people are willing to help you. Everyone thinks they aren't just helping you alone, they feel this is not correct. You are a chinese citizen, you went to japan once, just because of one photo, they called you a traitor, a spy, this is too overboard. We can't not mention your incident when we bring up the problems with capa. Now there is another photo that incited some controversy, the one of you with Lady Dewi. I've checked, lady dewi, she is not anti-chinese. This is my feeling - she has never insulted the chinese. Since she is Japanese, I can't be sure. But I have found out that Lady Dewi has taken photos with our premier Zhou Enlai. ZZH: At that time it was my friend's wedding, my friend introduced her to me as an entertainer/artist in Japan. My friend also knew I was an artist in China. So he suggested, would you take a photo with this elderly lady? So for me, because I’ve been brought up in this tradition of respecting the elderly, I agreed to take a photo with her. Actually i don't know her at all, I have no way of communicating with her. So I had no understanding of her, I didn't know her at all. And because I’m born and bred in Xinyu, Jiangxi, both my mother and father are party members, I grew up in the embrace of the party and the motherland. Actually towards jgss and such things, I went to japan simply for a holiday, I absolutely did not care and did not want to know where jgss was. ZZH: I entered a very panic-stricken/terrifying state, don't dare to go out, including my mom, (it) entered a very panic-stricken/terrifying state at home and a sort of self-doubt. (What I mean is), because I personally am a youth who is very patriotic (I feel). Then suddenly this thing/incident happened with people online scolding me "traitor/han jian",

including saying that my mom is the mistress of a Japanese [person], and saying my father is so-and-so. Actually my father passed away in 2016. (They) fabricated this sort of false information, and causing me to doubt myself. I lived in this terror, didn't dare to leave the house. My mom many times said, "What should I do, should I jump down from this floor and die, then I can prove my innocence." Sometimes I would also think, could it really be that only after I die or after I take my heart out for everyone to see, to prove that I'm a red heart (ie. patriotic) [heart is bleeding red/patriotism]. I was seriously/heavily doubting myself. Including people sending wreaths to the tea shop, I saw large amounts of people photoshopping deceased/funeral pictures, cursing my parents, cursing me. And our family also received investigations regarding their job posts, if my family had Japanese relatives etc, but the people in my family are all Chinese people. And (we) also don't have any relatives of foreign nationality. (We) are Jiangxi Xinyu people who were born and grew up in Xinyu.

Uncle: And also your parents are party members and your grandfather (maternal) is too, right?

ZZH: Yes.

Uncle: And also, I saw/read about your family relations, many of them are party members. Then at this sort of state like this, with (this kind) of public discussion/opinion and CAPA pinning/determining this problem on you, before resolving it through legal routes, I still hope that you'll stay strong. You must believe that our country is under the leadership of the CCP, is a socialist-ruled country, it will through the law understand this situation, the truth clearly, you have to believe the truth. Right? Because I've always not talked about (it) from your position/viewpoint, I'm solely calling for procedural justice. I also definitely believe that you also wish to have a chance to defend (yourself).

ZZH: Yes. I also believe in our country, believe in our motherland, believe in our party/ccp, believe our legal professionals (those in the legal industry), that they definitely will be able to give me an investigation chance including a chance for myself to defend myself, give a fair and just judgment.

Uncle: Today, I invited you, because there are so many lawyers, and I want you to see there are over 10 members from the NPC [National People’s Congress, gov. body] representing, they all wish they can speak to you face to face. Since online there are still a lot of disputes, we decided not to show your face, but to just have some real contact. I believe in the future, you will have a chance to be treated right by the law, you will pass the test of history, and will receive [fair] treatment. So we must believe that this era is wonderful, any country or era will have this kind of abnormal phenomenon. so when we run into problems, we must believe in ourselves, be strong (jianqiang), persist with our youth and life, this is the basis for solving all problems, if you don't have these, there is no meaning. OP notes so far: What a New Year's Eve. First, X-mas Eve had ZZH get his case accepted by the police, and now, we can finally hear his voice. He's been through so much, he sounds so calm. He's good at sounding calm, but the emotion always shows in his face. I'm a little glad Uncle Li decided to withhold it from view, I don't know if I could've looked at his face while he was describing all the awful things that have happened to him. I know that ZZH/Uncle Li have to stress that they are super patriotic and are only interested in a fair/just legal decision, so that's why it's so emphasized in each and every one of Uncle Li's posts. China expects utmost patriotism from its citizens. As an American, it's a bit removed from me, that kind of patriotism, but I keep that in mind that this is a necessary step for ZZH to clear his name. This is only the beginning, to a new 2022.

A forwarded 36-year-long Party’s member’s complete text. “The voice from a mother’s heart”:

Hello, everyone! I am Zhang Xia, the mother of the actor Zhang Zhehan, as well as a Party member of 36 years. Because of the cherry blossoms flowers taken during his trip to Japan in March 2018, my son has been going through the worst case of cyber violence since 13th August this year. I want to talk about the impacts and the trauma this event has brought upon my son and me.

Meanwhile, his Baidu profile was altered, his history was meddled with, rumours were created to fabricate the truth, to shame him. They even made up stories about him and brought him into lessons in class. His name was banned on social platforms. All of his dreams and his achievements from working hard for 10 years were completely erased. Not only so, but an entire network was also fully covered with foul, dreadful contents, his whole life’s love for the Party and country was gone, and the same went for his works. My son told me that he had not gone into the Yasukuni shrine, had not visited the place, even more so had not prayed nor worshipped there, that the information on the Internet was wrong, he said he was willing for a formal investigation. I think that if one could be judged based on some photos, then he still has photos showing his love for his country, photos of him competing for the nation’s pride, of him volunteering to help the community, are they not enough to prove his patriotism, his spirit? He has been condemned and sentenced on the Internet. Most of the accusations made against him came from unchecked, unverified information on the Internet, all of the conclusions were made without a proper investigation, an examination relevant to how wide misinformation can spread, and we did not get a chance to clarify anything, for we were helpless and desperate. However, seeing the general circumstance, the two of us had hidden the pain deep inside, did not speak up and did not create trouble for any government’s department or agency to avoid causing harm to the country. We were hoping that there would be an investigation and evidence collected for correct judgement and conclusion. But as a mother, I can not accept how my son has been treated. He is only 30! His future, his career, and his potential were all destroyed by some pictures taken over 3 years ago. Not just that, he has to live being looked down on by other people. This time coming home, when he first saw me, his first words were: “Mom, I’m ashamed, 30 years old already and I still make you worry.” I burst into tears, but he continued: “Why are you crying? Am I not healthy physically?” His positivity and health are my only comforts! But his beloved nephew who is only four, did not dare to face him, saying his uncle was a bad person, always covering up his own face to not look at his uncle. When my son saw this, he hid in his room and tears were shed. Normally, he is a strong person, but at that moment, he had truly broken down. In the eyes of a mother, at that moment, I felt like hearing my heart being ripped apart. I am a mother, I have raised him as this country has nurtured him. It was supposed to be the time to repay the country’s splendid months and years, but he was immediately destroyed by the vicious struggle of the industry and the netizens.

My son grew up in a family of the Party’s members, both of his parents being the Party’s members (his dad passed away because of illness in 2016), his grandfather was a leading cadre of the judicial department, loyal to the Party, devoted to his work, then suffered a sudden heart attack because of his hard work in the earlier years. His work was affected by his own myocardial infarction. Six of us sisters, four are members of the Party and one is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. My son’s generation (meaning ZZH’s cousins) has 5 grown-ups and 3 of them are members of the Party. They all work for the Party in different ways. My whole family loves the Party and the country! My son has grown up in the Party’s warmhearted embrace. I have always taught him to love the Party, love his country, passed down to him all the good qualities of the previous generations, taught him to be honest, kind, brave, strong, hard-working, which is basically earnestly educating him. He is not perfect, he has his flaws, but he is not tainted. Whoever said that I was a Japanese mistress, that my son was half-Japanese, that Ya Tai Rong which I registered (a small company that produced selfie sticks, and had nothing to do with Japan, as well as had been written off because of losses) was also corrupted, gradually, imposed on us all of the labels belonging to Japan, intentionally insulted and slandered us.

Over these three months, we have lived in fear, anger, pain, sorrow, and helplessness. My son has not dared to go out, and I feel jealous looking at everyone else. It’s too painful to live in struggles and shame, I even had the thought of trying to awaken people’s sympathy by ending my own life. But my son has comforted me, begging me to trust in the Party, in the country, and educating me back: “You are still a life-long Party’s member, we have to believe that justice is arriving late, but definitely not absent!” My son’s words have snapped me out of it and strengthened me! We strongly believe that the Party and country will make the right judgments, clearing up everything for us, restoring the truth, giving us back an open path for our lives and careers.

I swear again: “If my son had gone to that devil place, my whole family is willing to die for it! I can assure what I have said to be true in the Party’s spirit and my own morality! Thank you, everyone, and thanks to Li Xuezheng for speaking up despite the risk!”

I wanted to translate this earlier but my book club was holding a bonding session so I couldn’t. My apology. I believe that many have read this letter or a translation of it already, but I wanted to do it justice with my words and add a little thought to it.

So, here’s my thought: By far, this is the most details we have got about ZZH’s and his family’s situation in general. I came close to crying a few times translating this but at this point, I’m mostly just angry. Furious. Not only at the people who are directly responsible for this, but also at the so-called anti-fans. I was in the middle of my club’s bonding session when I saw a translation of a page of this letter, but words and sentences were cut out to create whole new meanings to each line, each paragraph. Which, of course, has drawn the anti-fans in. They were insulting, cursing, saying that they would be fine and happy if people really died. Like, that should not be normalized, not anymore, not after this. At least, many other celebs’ anti-fans were humane enough to only hate and make fun of some stuff, at least no one else has been cursed to die. How can this still be a norm and thought to be harmless in this society? Are these antis not also humans? Do they not have families and especially, parents or siblings or loved ones? Mocking people on the Internet is one thing, but sending funeral flowers and cursing people are on a whole new level of cyber violence. I’m sick of this. So sick and so tired of it all.

But he still has supporters, people who care about him, and people who care about justice prevalence. I pray for his and his family’s welfare and happiness, I hope they know that they are loved and supported by his fans and other justice-seekers everywhere.

Long time no post! I'm much more active on my twitter, I mostly retweet updates on 813/JunZhe / my art and fan creations if you're wondering where I am.

So it's been one year since August 13, 2021, the day that ZZH was cancelled / bullied off the face of Chinese Entertainment.

813 never ended - a one year summary adding context as well as relating it to Zhang Sanjian / ZSJ, a weapon in CAPA's arsenal against Zhang Zhehan.

1. 813 never ended, and ZSJ proves that.

You may have thought that 813 ended with ZZH’s cancellation, but it never stopped. The big picture: the IG/ZSJ scandal is part of a corrupt industry-coordinated effort to effectively erase ZZH’s presence from entertainment, for good.

Since the airing of SHL/WOH and ZZH’s subsequent rise into fame, he had to endure many harsh rumors generated by malicious people planted in fandom or on the periphery. If you’ve followed QV/Blue/Flora’s posts recently, more and more people are being identified, who came out of the woodwork to contribute to these false rumors. I.e, the GF rumor on the boat that ZZH was on. There are many groups of individuals with connections to each other and to CAPA, i.e. the teashop / the Chens, Weibo Antis, Xie Yihua and co., and the Shenzhen Gang.

Flora's character sheet keeps track of all the characters here and she also keeps an updated map of how everyone is related (as of 21/08/08), from CAPA execs to the tea shop to the ehzz ZSJ brand.

Leading to July of 2021, the rumors became more and more vicious, attacking ZZH’s credibility as a graduate of Shanghai Theatre Academy, attacking his character, etc.

And it culminated in the industry-wide ban on August 13= “813”. Within 2 days, he and his 10 years of work were erased from Chinese entertainment.

Even during these tumultuous times, when long-time HaiZhe/ZZH solo fans told everyone to quiet down and let it blow over lest fandom makes it worse for him, some planted fans/antis in the fandom tried to stir the pot even more. (revealed recently by QV and co).

On November 23, CAPA released a ban list of 88 names including Kris Wu (a known star who broke the law) and Zhang Zhehan. It was later revealed that the meeting that decided these names was over in an hour and barely had any oversight or transparency.

Bc CAPA wasn’t transparent in how they came up with this industry-ban list, Director Li Xuezheng (Uncle Li/LXZ) stood up and started a movement of accountability. One hashtag on Weibo that I followed was “justice for the people,” which reached BILLIONS of interactions, and never once did it make it onto hot search. Weibo itself was in a fight behind the scenes between different parties, constantly muting and unmuting, deleting and restoring Uncle Li’s daily updates and videos, as well as his audio interview with ZZH himself.

(Update Aug 8, 2022) QV came out with information: The reason that Uncle Li couldn't get ZZH's case onto the hot search was because of the Chinese Cyberspace Admin (CAC). This gov org prevented them from reaching hot search in order to prevent CAPA from unleashing its 800 yxh accounts to smear Uncle Li and company. They were investigating water armies at the time.

They really wanted to get on Hot Search, they were planning to smear LXZ as someone who was trying to whitewash history. They had articles planned, water armies readied as well as "fans" and "righteous passerbys" prepared to stoke sentiments.

There are many parties still fighting behind the scenes that we are not privy to(#QuestionCAPA). It may seem like ZZH is quiet but it’s a strategic silence until his case is ready to be made public. Otherwise, it’s still ongoing and private.

Uncle Li had major success in turning the tide of public opinion, and ZZH finally submitted an official police report to the Beijing PD on Dec 24, 2021. His recorded interview with LXZ and other party members and lawyers was released on Dec 31, 2021.

ZZH maintained his innocence. There was no evidence of him committing wrongdoing, and he submitted himself to court. March 18, a leaked audio of ZH expressed how he has the will to fight for his name, his family, and his innocence despite the barrage of corrupt industry bans.

Now cue ZSJ👻 Because ZZH’s fandom was largely intact, the agents of CAPA behind 813 wanted to thoroughly destroy his chance of ever coming back + destroy his reputation via stealing his Instagram, which fueled the ZSJ scandals.

Jan 13- Uncle Li was muted

Jan 16- The ZSJ account emerged. (Check Ennis's ZSJ timeline)

This is not a coincidence, the perpetrators knew LXZ will be muted and prepared their Second Act, the ZSJ scandal to destroy ZZH. And so we have the constant infighting between ZSJ fans, ZZH fans, and CP fans. Have you noticed how toxic ZSJ fans are now? And on twitter, they keep trying to stir up trouble with us, hijacking our hashtags, etc.

It created a RIFT within ZZH’s main fandom. Looking at it with this big picture, can you see that this is all one WHOLE campaign against ZZH? Because they failed to destroy him completely on 813, they planned their Second Act with ZSJ to finish the job.

This is where things stand, the ZSJ accounts shill merch using commonly available apps/tech to impersonate ZZH. They have him talking sh-t about his former co-stars (never by name), burning his bridges. A professional would never do this if they wanted a chance at jobs again.

Through all of this, the characters never once mention "Gong Jun" or "Zhang Zhehan" and never claim to be them. Just to "hint" at them. Why? So their impersonation scandal can't be easily traced back to them, they have the defense of vague words, ambiguous names.

Gong Jun is suffering a constant barrage of anti attacks also related to CAPA and associates (as revealed day by day by Blue/Flora/QV). I'm sure he has been preparing for this eventuality since 813 last year, so I believe in his and his team to keep him safe.

813 never ended. It is CRUCIAL context to ZSJ and ZZH’s silence. Let’s wait. Believe that the real ZZH is who he always was: a strong, loving man who focuses on the kindness surrounding him rather than burning those who wronged him.

2. Many CAPA / Xie Yihua etc Minions were muted yesterday (Aug 11-12, 2022)

Many CAPA clowns' accounts were muted yesterday, right before 813. It is unknown if it was the government doing this, or if it's just another part of CAPA's scheme, only time will tell.

The EHZZ Brand account was wiped out (still there though) on Weibo.

CAPA minions like Tony Peng, Sanke, intern lawyer, have all been muted.

Big news on X-mas Eve! LONG POST!! So much has happened for ZZH, let's start with some memes to lighten the mood:

Let’s get right to THE BIG NEWS.

1. Dec 24 - ZZH’s case is accepted by the Beijing Chaoyang Police!!!

This means that they’ve found his case has standing and will do a criminal investigation. It will also lead to multiple civil suits that Uncle Li says are underway! All of Weibo is out of their coffins now lol, MULTIPLE tags are being flooded with joyous comments. Weibo is constantly shutting them down though, but people keep making more.

ZZH told Uncle Li that he tried to file a case before, but they wouldn’t accept it? And/or he was too afraid of the massive cyberbullying to step out of the house :( (I would be angry but this is no time to be angry, I’m happy he’s finally getting justice underway). Thanks to Uncle Li and many legal experts, they’ve encouraged him to file a police report, which has finally succeeded!

2. Dec 24 - What next steps could there be?

This user translated a CN lawyer’s perspective. Basically, the police will make a prelim. Investigation to establish the basic facts and whether a crime was committed.

“Typically if the police feels a case doesn’t meet the criteria to establish a criminal matter, they will tell the complainant to just go file a lawsuit themselves, they won’t bother to accept a report.”

Once all the facts are defined, they’ll send it over to the public prosecutor, who will refer the case to court. Then the victim can sue for secondary civil lawsuits for damages (fingers crossed). This process might take awhile, so let’s all celebrate the small steps and wait patiently, justice is finally happening!!!

3. Dec 24 - Uncle Li posted a video explaining everything

Amber did a wonderful translation of this here. He basically reiterates that ZZH did nothing wrong, and if he did, Li would support his punishment. He’s not whitewashing anyone, just standing up for what is right. Uncle Li’s been so active these past few weeks, slowly plugging away at all the lies that have been written about ZZH, and turning public opinion so much so that ZH could finally file a police report. What a guy, I’m so very grateful for him. Uncle Li further questions CAPA about how they don’t even name the people on their very own “Moral Self-discipline Committee,” so why should they have the ability to make a boycott list? CAPA even tried to ban Uncle Li, but ofc he’s not afraid bc he’s not actually done anything wrong.

A note from OP on this… I can see why Uncle Li always stresses to thank the authorities, thank the public, and thank the multitude of platforms for being on the side of justice. Because if you want someone to do something, you can thank them for doing it first, and then they’ll go along with you (even if they haven’t done anything yet, or they’ve done the opposite of what you want). It’s a useful persuasive tactic. I interpret it as thus: he recognizes that the public, the platforms, CAPA, etc all have their hands in what happened to ZZH. But calling people out specifically won’t really help. So if one looks to the brighter side, and just assumes that betterness in people exists, then it looks better publicly and still accomplishes his goal. But make no mistake, it was BECAUSE of these platforms, CAPA, the public’s ready willingness to be whipped up into a frenzy over fabricated photos and antis and water armies, it was BECAUSE of these things and these people, that this all happened in the first place. Forgive, but don’t forget. How else will we learn lessons for the future?

And justice being late… justice is only capable at all because one citizen, with the perfect background, prowess, age, circumstance, decided to step up for ZZH - Li Xuezheng. Uncle Li. For many others, justice never came. No one stood up. Let’s remember that Uncle Li is an aberration; he is setting the precedence for everyone to come (in c-ent). Walking first so others may walk after. After this is all over, I hope people will follow his example and stand up for what’s right. Given that they have the power to, that is. This isn’t to put a damper on the celebrations, it’s just to keep in mind, justice should be a right, but it’s really a privilege. It is easily stripped from our most vulnerable. I hope that Uncle Li’s example will inspire more people to stand up.

4. Dec 23 - National Radio/TV Admin (NRTA) and Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) set forth statements denying ever censuring ZZH

NRTA wrote back that such information doesn't exist because their agency never created such content.

Uncle Li posted a video on this. Essentially, they denied ever labelling ZZH as an immoral or illegal artist. They denied requesting that the platforms take his works down. They didn’t do shit to ZZH. So they’ve effectively punted the ball back into CAPA’s court. CAPA has been claiming that it has gov. authority in its decisions, but now that the actual relevant gov. branch said they didn’t have anything to do with it, they swear, now CAPA is in extra hot water.

5. Dec 23 - Hashtags including ZZH’s name and LLD are now searchable

Langlangding, the cp name for ZZH/GJ, Junzhe, and WKX/ZZS, is now searchable again on Weibo. Small steps forward!

You can also now search his name in Douyin (the tiktok equivalent in CN).

6. Dec 23 - Local Russian Newspaper writes a small article on ZZH - cited his Ma’s letter, positive, even a local band wants to support by recording a song

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since my last update. I've been following Uncle Li's struggles against CAPA and the Chinese entertainment industry as a whole since my last update on Dec 3, 2021. I'll only be covering things that I feel are distinct steps in ZZH's case, or that may be important for c-ent as a whole.

Let's get to it.

1. Wang LeeHom (a famous C singer) / WLH had a recent scandal where his wife revealed many facts about their relationship

WLH's wife came out and revealed that he's been an abusive husband / neglectful husband and such to her, with receipts. How does this relate to CAPA/ZZH/Uncle Li? Well, Uncle Li even predicted that CAPA will allow this scandal to make it to the Hot Search on weibo to take the heat off of themselves. Although, CAPA hasn't added his name to their supposed "immoral actors" list, I wonder why...? (We all know why, money probably paid them off).

2. Dec 16 - Uncle Li / LXZ - posted an article from China Youth Daily (that was published Aug, 25, 2021)

It detailed many different people from artists to politicians who had their pasts dug up by others with the intent of causing one’s “social death,” which we collectively call ‘cancel culture’ here in the West.

“In fact, people’s behavior online is only a very small aspect of life, looking at one’s online past is overemphasized.” Moreover, who can open up their QQ (C facebook) from 10 years ago and not feel embarrassed?

It’s interesting that this article was published after 813. Was it in consideration of ZZH’s case? Or were they tone-deaf? Who knows. Uncle Li certainly is suave at choosing what to post, to call the attention of the government and its people.

3. Dec 15 - Uncle Li invited a few Law professors to livestream on several platforms including Bilibili, Weibo, etc on CAPA and any legal implications of their goings-on.

This was notoriously watched by millions of people, but the platforms kept interrupting his stream on multiple outlets. Not only that, the law firm who was involved was muted on Weibo too? They were only trying to educate the public about current laws that govern this industry. But of course, those with power and in power generally do not want the public knowing about actual laws that would help common people. I can see why their effort was thwarted. Uncle Li emphasized later that it’s not the platform’s fault, that he and the professors should have run it by BiliBili/etc first to warn them. The platforms are also under careful scrutiny by the government, so any wrong moves would be hefty fines. (Does this imply that there are those in the government also involved? I would say yes. Of course. For where is the most power often concentrated? That doesn’t mean the official stance of the c-gov is against Uncle Li, no. There are probably players in the government who are double dipping, benefitting from CAPA, and who have been sending threats to Uncle Li (he’s noted these threats before, but is unconcerned)).

The Weibo CEO also thought he was being cheeky by saying

"If you're a man, you'd last at least 10minutes. I know stamina for 60min is an issue for a middle aged man but I have faith in you."

It’s kind of insane to me that his PR department lets him speak lol. Does he think he’s that powerful? He’s made digs at Uncle Li’s pursuit for justice before. This is just another in a long line of childish insults.

To get back at him, netizens created a tag #来总 3秒# "Weibo CEO, 3 seconds"

4. A supposed contract to silence ZZH for 6 months - 1 year + Antis have been mobilized

Uncle Li shared an anonymous story that talks about anti’s (anti-fans, basically trolls or paid trolls), who took on the job to ruin ZZH. The contract included a clause stating that they must ensure that he disappeared for more than 6 mo to a year before they receive the rest of their payment. (Long screen-capped image here)

OP’s note: To have such powerful players and money back a concerted effort to destroy one’s career for at least a year… What did ZZH do? Was he that powerful and popular? Sigh. More on my thoughts later.

5. Happy News: ZZH’s mother received over 20,000 story submissions for her tea shop’s story contest

For her contest, “my story, your tea,” she received over 20,000 submissions. So she’s expanding to 20 winners :) I’m sure many of those stories are well-wishes from ZZH’s fans. She estimates that all will be completed by Dec 25.

6. Uncle Li ensures that the relevant authorities already have the case in hand.

The relevant gov. Agencies are looking into CAPA and are gathering evidence. This process may take awhile as they are trying to be thorough. So there may not be many new updates, but we’ll see. He optimistically said maybe he could get it done by this year?? Or up to a year or two from now. We’ll just have to sit tight. I’m glad that he’s still standing up for ZZH, for c-ent, and he’s clever enough to avoid all the dirt and mud that people are slinging at him. These were my impressions from Dec 3 to now, I forgot which tweets it was from but there were many with the same idea.

Conclusion so far, my thoughts:

Soooo, Uncle Li is ensuring that he’s plugging away at ZZH’s case. The tag “justice for the people '' is now at BILLIONSSS of views btw. And still no hot search. Who knew that Chinese entertainment was so interconnected, so corrupt that all the platforms essentially operate with shadowy back alley transactions? I didn’t know it was this bad. But I’m no expert in entertainment behind-the-scenes.

I think this experience teaches us all, even those outside of China, an important idea. That no matter who you are, you’re always vulnerable to someone digging up your past and smearing you. As long as the money is paid, and as long as you angered the right/wrong people. Sometimes, there will be an Uncle Li to stand up and defend you. But most of the time, there won’t be. So as a member of the public, when you hear a new rumor, or you’re so far removed from some celebrity’s scandal, just remember to keep in mind that what you hear may not be true. Give the situation time for concrete evidence to show. Don’t be baited into participating against hating someone. (Not that ZZH did anything wrong, to be fair).

You can always change your mind. The victim may have done some shit in the past, but they can also always change their mind. Let’s judge people for who they choose to be, right now. Not who they once were. I think that’s the best way forward. It’s NOT to say that I’m not annoyed, or I don’t fall into the rumor pit-traps either. But it’s too easy to ruin someone’s life. I don’t want to do that, or have a hand in that. I’m a fan of restorative justice, healing justice. I don’t want to punish someone forever, their life is only theirs, I don’t have to live it. Life sucks enough, the world is already dying, why make it harder for ourselves?

Part 3.1 - ZZH Mom responds

Hey everyone, so Uncle Li has been plugging along and many revelations have been made public, I'll try to summarize the important ones here (and the ones that have to do with ZZH)

As of December 2, 2021:

Previously: Uncle Li launched a full-fledged social media / legal assault against CAPA. CAPA was curiously silent, as well as other verified (“blue V” because they have a tiny blue V next to their weibo icons) business entities were also silent. Uncle Li’s hashtag “Justice for the people” grew to over 160 Million in a day or two, without coming up on the top hot search trending list, which caused many to suspect that Weibo was actively suppressing the topic. However, Uncle Li created other hashtags that also trended alongside it - and netizens created their own as well. Uncle Li got into contact with ZZH’s family and they seem to be working together.

This user translated the post on Uncle Li’s weibo

2. Uncle Li met with government agencies (Central Comm. for Discipline Inspection, CCDI) and it seemed to go well

Many government agency leaders have contacted Uncle Li privately to express their support for his endeavors to expose CAPA’s corruption. Even people within CAPA themselves are helping him.

3. Other News Outlets + verified people are slowly covering Uncle Li v. CAPA

Nov 29 - Phoenix News Outlet stated that CAPA is a voluntary social group, not an official government group

Verified “Red V” accounts on weibo with 4million+ followers are now coming to support Uncle Li

4. Uncle Li’s thoughts on becoming famous/infamous bc of CAPA - Nov 29

This amazing user translated Uncle Li’s post, which basically says that he finds what CAPA is doing deplorable, especially because one of CAPA’s leaders committed “immoral” acts himself. It’s super ironic that they get to set the standard for morality when they commit immoral acts themselves.

He says: “I'm an old man in his 50s, my will to fight has already greatly diminished but seeing how blatantly shameless they're acting and learning of their ultimate goal, I couldn't keep quiet. Even if I have to fight this alone, I wouldn't mind going to battle, fight until the bitter end”

5. CAPA - where does the money go? “A guy covered in shit dared scold someone for wearing the wrong perfume” (SAVAGE Uncle Li)

This user translated an article that Uncle Li attached to his weibo post. It basically says that CAPA is registered as a non-profit org, but it’s clearly making a lot of profit - to the tune of 68.72million RMB. Where does it go? The last charity event they held was in 2007! The last industry event they had was in 2013!

Apparently even the leadership committee within CAPA had no experience managing making the list that boycotted ZZH in August and in Nov. Who made it then? There’s no transparency involved. Uncle Li CALLED THEM OUT AGAIN by saying

“they always claimed that it’s been reviewed by a morality committee but they refused to publish a list of members. Did any of them sign their names to that list? This user translated that many CAPA subdomains on the web are now gone such as the Henan CAPA, Beijing CAPA, Shanghai CAPA, Sichuang CAPA, etc

8. Nov 30 - Someone tried to submit an appeal to CAPA bc they were on the boycott list

Uncle Li said - “Someone went to CAPA’s ‘secretariat’ to submit an appeal, but they did not give any recepit/material proof of acceptance of the appeal, only gave a phone # and a contact named ‘Liu laoshi’...”

9. Uncle Li’s “Justice for the people” hashtag is now at 1.66 BILLION views and 660k + discussions!

And somehow IT’S STILL NOT TRENDING?? Weibo, you’re being too obvious now about being in on it ok?

10. Nov 28-30 Other fake industry groups stealthily change their info to say they’re private orgs

This amazing user again followed an interesting trail. She goes into how other corrupt groups stealth changed their profile to say that they’re not really government groups and just posted a simple notice on their page saying sorry, woops, didn’t know you guys didn’t know we’re not OFFICIAL. On Nov 28, the time that Uncle Li was starting up his case against CAPA, also a corrupt industry org that pretended to be official gov. How convenient. I’m assuming there are plenty of these groups around that are stealth-changing their info.

A gossip account in c-ent with 6Million followers sided with CAPA, but their comment section just said “so handsome,” “love your work,” “love you,” etc, bc it was FULL OF WATER ARMY BOTS hahahaha - he forgot to tell people that he’s not posting about a celebrity, but about CAPA. He deleted the post lol.

11. Dec 1 - CAPA speaks up but they shot themselves in the foot

They welcome anyone to report them to their superiors (who are..???? They don’t say) in an official statement and interview. And the comment section is closed, ofc. They’ll sue anyone who questions them.

AND THEN - netizens found that the statement was PRE-STAMPED, PRE-NOTARIZED. The document was already stamped, and then the words were written. You can’t do this lol. So the reporter, Bai Ying, also works for CAPA??? There’s like a thousand problems with this press release.

Blue V’s (verified business accounts) were probably paid to repost CAPA’s response to Uncle Li, spreading misinformation.

Dec 1 - Uncle Li posted a video saying, BS, you didn’t answer ANY of my questions, you (CAPA) just answered softball questions that didn’t really say anything at all. “This is a typical way of avoiding the important and evading the subject.”

He further says that he looks forward to going to court against CAPA and will request for the proceedings to be LIVESTREAMED.

Dec 2 - someone in CAPA contacted Uncle Li saying the article Bai Ying released (the prenotarized one)??? Was fake??? The interview was fake? He wrote the article, showed it to the leaders at CAPA, and then published it??? Sigh. Bai Ying was made to be scapegoat for CAPA, cuz CAPA threw him under the bus too after this lol.

12. Youku/Douyin/Bilibili voluntarily took down ZZH’s work (including WOH) even though they’re not under any control from CAPA - CAPA throws them under the bus

CAPA basically said their boycott list was voluntary, and threw Youku/Douyin/Bilibili under the bus for boycotting ZZH lol. Since this is true, Youku could put up ZZH’s work again, and people could start releasing his work again. But will they? Depends on Uncle Li’s success probably.
