Bishpup, anyone? I've been sitting on this little fact about Bishop for over a year but I haven't been able to work on the story the way I wanted but man the Sonic 3 trailer really gave me a brainworm. >:3
While yes, Bishop is a good guy, he is not a hero and sometimes his morals and the turtles clash pretty heavily. Feel free to ask anything about this AU I'm dying to talk about it. I have so much planned but man alive am I havin' a time organizing it into something visual.

First batch of character sheets for Bridge the Gap. These were super fun to do and I can't wait to get started on the next set. >:3 Finally settling on designs is really tough for me but I think I'm really pleased with where these ended up!! (Bridge the Gap is the Uncle Bishop AU btw)

Ah, that would be because Death was a huge inspiration for Bishop's "Wulfe" Form. This is his official design.
There's so much lore, I'm not sure where to start sometimes --
But, Bishop can oftentimes be cold hearted towards humanity due to his less than stellar childhood and he prefers yokai. His goal is to make the surface a place Yokai, Mutants, and humans can co-exist peacefully. He wants the turtles as his poster children, because who better to be the catalyst for change than the mutants who helped save the world! Except... he wasn't expecting them to be actual children and uuuh, that throws a wrench into his plans because he refuses to use them for a political agenda until they're old enough to understand it and properly consent to it. However, he and Leo end up with a mentor/mentee relationship after running into each other over the course of several weeks. Since Leo refuses to stop investigating the outbreak of a drug called Foxfire, Bishop decides the least he can do is teach him to do it safely.
Older out of date sketches below. Still appropriate to his character but uuuuh, his design has gotten more refined since these.

Yup! Casey and CJ definitely have roles in Bridge the Gap! This is an older drawing of the two of them but it's what I've got right now. I have like... fifteen or sixteen character sheets to do??? It's a silly amount, but they're coming!
Sorry if am bothering you or am enoing- I just wanted to ask if you are planing to make more comic's someday? I really like your art style, and that fact that you made Bishop nice! Not everyone makes him nice and for me it's something new and refreshing-

I currently have plans to continue the Bishop AU under the title "Bridge the Gap." I just have to finish the last chapter of After the Portal Closes as the stories are heavily connected. I've begun plotting it out though!
Unlike AtPC, Bridge the Gap is intended to be a collection of comics and storyboards/animatics to tell the story. Writing a fic has been really fun, but it's not how I want to continue to tell this story.
Because of the nature of the project it's going to take a little bit for me to start getting anything official out, but I will be making as many spoiler free updates as I can while I work on it!
I'm so glad you like my art and my take on Bishop! He means a lot to me and exploring his character as an ally has been super fun and challenging.
