#uncle billy

Frank stood up from the stairs and stretched a bit. "God, finally- is that? Y/n wipe the lipstick away!" Her father told her immediately.

"Dad please, I'm old enough for this." Y/n told him.

Maria shook her head about the two of them. "Come on, let her the lipstick it looks cute." She said honestly.

Frank shook his head. "Ah tell that all these creeps out there." He said and wrapped his arm around his daughter and wiped the lipstick with his hand away.

"Dad! No, that's the expensive one." She explained and sighed. "Great." She huffed when all was gone.

The whole family arrived in the central park, at their favorite spot, near the carousel. Her mother and father already placed a blanket on the grass and put some fruits in bowls onto it.

Y/n sat down smiling, looking around the park, she took some grapes in her mouth and watched her little brother playing with her father.

Her mother and Lisa sat down next her and they smiled at her. "You wanted to tell us about that boy you met, remember? Since your father is busy now." Her mother asked smiling.

Y/n blushed a bit smiling. "Well I met him with a few friends and we talked for a good two hours. We rode up a hill into the sunset with his motorcycle, it was just perfect. When I sat on the motorcycle he even told me I had to hold onto him, not to fall down." She chuckled.

Lisa and her mother chuckled both about it.

"When are you taking him home, hm?" Her mother asked and Y/n shrugged.

"Not yet, we'll see about it." She explained.

Y/n smiled happily and looked around the park, watching her father and her brother together and her mother with her sister. It was one of these days where she hoped the time would stop forever.

Her father came over to her after a few more minutes. "You alright sweetheart?" He asked her smiling and she nodded.

"Everything great." Y/n told him honestly.

Suddenly she heard a loud noise, something like a gun which isn't so rare in the streets of New York. Both of them still flinched about it.

"Dad? What was that?" Y/n asked him scared and hold onto his arm.

"I don't know." Her father told her honestly and helped her standing up.

"Maria! Kids! Come on we're going!" Frank shouted, he looked around and saw some people with guns in hand.

Another shoot and her mother stumbled back, her body slowly getting pale and the grass around her turning red.

"NO!" Frank screamed and ran to her.

Another two and Lisa and Frank Jr. fell to the ground. Lisa with a bullet in her head and Frank Jr. still fighting for his life. Y/n started running towards them now, her head felt empty and everything else numb, never in her life would she imagine such a situation.

The next shoot hit her. Thank god not fully, it only hit her arm so nothing to serious. She still fell to the ground and closed her eyes out of pain, all was quiet not even her father screamed anymore. She kept her eyes close out of fear too and not even seconds later she passed out from the blood lose.

Beep Beep Beep

The same sound all over again woke Y/n slowly up. She opened her eyes carefully, they hurt from the light. It smelled like desinfection too.

She was in the hospital, obviously. Y/n winced a bit about the pain in her arm, she had a big bandage wrapped around it.

The door swung open and revealed a young nurse standing in the door. "Oh dear, you're awake." She said surprised and put everything she had in hand on the little table next to Y/n.

"How are you feeling?" The nurse asked and Y/n gave her a nod. "I'm feeling okay." She said with a raspy voice, cause of her dry mouth.

"I'll get you some water." The friendly nurse squeezed her hand a bit and walked out but Y/n stopped her by holding her hand.

"Where's my family?" She asked her.

The nurse walked back and wrapped her other hand around Y/N's too. "I'll be right back for you but you've a visitor waiting outside." She explained and let go, walking out and opening the door.

Someone stormed into the room as soon as the door was open. It was Billy, her father's best friend and for her something like an uncle.

"Billy." Y/n said immediately and jumped to her feet almost breaking down again, she forgot she didn't walk for a long time.

Billy catched her immediately and sat her back down on the bed but not letting go of her. "hey, careful." He whispered and pressed her tightly to his chest.

"Where are they? Where's my family?" Y/n asked him crying and wrapped her arms around his middle too.

"I'm so sorry, Y/n." He told her calmly, which made her only cry even harder.

"How could something like this happen? I-I don't understand." She explained confused and leaned on him for a while.

"The police is already informed about everything. I'll make sure they get what they deserve." Billy told her and stroked her back up and down, sitting with her for a while.

"What am I supposed to do now?" Y/n asked him desperate and let slowly go of him, taking a sip of the cup next to her.

Billy looked to her and put a hand carefully on her shoulder. "You'll be living with me as long as you need it and then we'll see. You'll continue with school until you graduate and all this shit, alright?" He asked a bit smiling.

Y/n smiled a bit too, at least a little sunbeam in all these clouds. "Thank you." She said.

"Not for that." Billy nodded and hugged her again.

After a few more tests and check up', Y/n was able to leave the hospital with Billy. They walked to his car and both of them sat down in it.

"How about I'll drive to your home and we'll get your clothes and then we can order some pizza, hm? Hospital food is the worst food of all." Billy joked a bit.

Y/n nodded, looking to him. "Sounds like a plan." She agreed and Billy started his car, driving to Y/n's old home.

"You wanna go in? Or should I go?" He asked her.

Y/n unbuckled the seatbelt and opened the door. "I'll go, it's okay." She told him and opened the door, looking back to Billy, who gave her two thumbs up.

The girl walked into the house, which felt so foreign now and into her room. She took her biggest bag and put all her clothes into it. Next Y/n walked into the living room and took the family picture from the table, placing it in her bag too, she even took her favorite teddy bear with her. She might be to old for it now but it's still a connection to her parents, the teddy was the first present they ever gave to her.

A last glance and she closed the door now, walking back to Billy's car. "You alright?" He asked immediately as she sat down again.

Y/n wiped a tear away and nodded. "It's okay." She told him honestly and put the seatbelt back around her.

The man gave her a nod and turned around driving back into the streets of New York, to the next Pizzeria. "Stay here, I'll be right back." Billy told her and walked in, locking the car.

Billy was really quick, getting the Pizza and driving to his apartment, both of them walked up and sat down together on the couch.

Y/n finished the last bite of her pizza and leaned back on his couch, holding her stomach. "I'm really full, I don't need any pizza for the next two years." She told him.

The man gasped about her. "Don't say that, we're eating Pizza every day now." He joked and put their plates away.

"Please not." Y/n laughed a bit and sat up, looking after him. "Is it okay if I take a shower?" She asked him and he nodded immediately.

"Yeah sure, you'll go and grab some fresh clothes and I'll put some towels on the sink. I've some teeth brushes left." He told her and walked in the bathroom.

The girl raised an eyebrow about him and took her pyjama out of her bag and walked in the bathroom too. "Some teeth brushes? I thought you're living alone." She asked him.

Billy looked to her and smirked a bit. "Sometimes I don't spend my night alone, I've some visitors and they wanna brush their teeth here too." He explained to her. "So what your favorite colour?" He asked and grabbed the many brushes in all the colours.

Y/n looked confused to him. "I wish I didn't ask." She told him honestly. "It's green." She said and took one while Billy put the others back.

The man chuckled and walked out, leaving her alone. "Call me if you need something." He said and walked out again.

Y/n turned the water on and relaxed as soon as the warm water hit her skin. She took a deep breath in and out and just closed her eyes for a little moment, of course she's still sad because of everything that happens but she's also glad that Billy was there for her.

After a few minutes she wrapped her hair into a towel, putting on her pyjama and finally pulling down her band aid from her shoulder, looking at the bullet wound. She moved with her finger carefully over it sighed. She missed her family so badly.

"You alright in there?" Billy knocked on the door and Y/n flinched a bit about him.

"uhm yes, I'm alright. I just need a bit help with my shoulder." Y/n unlocked the door and let him in, Billy looked to her shoulder and nodded.

"I'll just put a fresh band aid over it again." He explained and opened a drawer taking everything out and helping her. He got ready after a few seconds and lead her out of the bathroom again, into the guest room.

"I hope that's okay for now, in the following days we'll get everything you need. Like a bedroom, clothes and just everything." He smiled.

Y/n sat down on the bed and gave him a smile, when he sat down next to her both of them just staring out of the window.

"Thank you so much for- well just everything." The girl told him and smiled. "I don't know what I would do without you." She added honestly.

Billy looked over and took her hand in his. "There's no need to thank me, really I'm happy I can help beside you're everything I've left that I ever called a real family and I'm glad that I'm not alone anymore." He smiled.

Y/n squeezed his hand too smiling. "You're everything that I've left from my family too and I'm glad that we still have each other." She smiled.

Billy really is a real uncle for her.
