Goddamit, so I was right about Queen of Lothric not being Gwynevere herself but rather a descendant (like Rosaria is)?

Last Protagonist, whose Japanese retranslations ( x ) I am always using for Bloodborne lore because my trust to localisation team is entirely broken, has some abandoned Dark Souls retranslations bits too and I literally just decided to check it fdgfgdssfd

(sorry for no ingame screenshots rn) ^ Initially my arguments were that 1) Gwynevere is still referred to as princess in DS3, as though she never became a queen 2) Gwynevere's name is still mentioned in descriptions and by Yorshka, so obscuring Queen's name would be weird and 3) Rosaria also has connection with Gwynevere through a miracle but is not her, so connection via the item should not be too much? But "she's like surrogate of THE goddess of these concepts" has subtlety of the bat in the face

The ribbons by either side are a reference to Gwynevere's ones, and also were not featured on the concept art:

At this point I wonder if this statue IS the Queen of Lothric herself, then, and ribbons were added to further hint at the connection! At the same time, as we remember, Miyazaki initially wanted to make Gwynevere modest, dignified and motherly but could not break the heart of the artist that designed the one we know and love fhdshfds I now wonder whether this depiction is closer to how he wanted Gwynevere to be initially, and reusing that vibe for a relative would be a very smart move?

+ Gwynevere still has a painting of herself in Dark Souls 3 with the vibe of her as it was, so maybe it never was implied to change in her history, after all?
