#Slavery... It feels great to see the world especially Nigerians speak strongly and unitedly against what is going on in Libya.My heart goes out to the many lives that have been lost as a result of this inhuman and cruel practice.May their souls rest in perfect peace Amen. However Slavery exists in different forms even right here in our midst and most of us are guilty of this evil practice.There are house helps , maids & even employees living in worse conditions while their masters are out here on social media crying and calling for justice.These helps might not have guns pointed at their heads or chains around their necks physically but the psychological , emotional and in some cases physical abuse metted out to them can be as bad as what is experienced in Slavery. What is going on in Libya and in many parts of Africa including Nigeria is as a result of our Lack of empathy & Love for each other as human beings. It is good that we are unified with the rest of the world against slavery in Libya and the world but we can do better by ending the slavery in our homes while we are at it.You dont need petitions or a crowd to end enslavement in your heart and home..YOU ONLY NEED YOU.
