Boogagoora, The Mocking Pokemon

About a year ago UmbreonLibris had this challenge where we had to make a Fakemon using 2 of 3 Pokedex entries of his choosing. So I used these two entries:

When excited, it discharged the energy it has stored in its belly, then lets out a great, uproarious laugh

It’s drowsy in daytime, but flies off in the evening in big groups. No one knows where they go.

Which inspired me to make Boogagoora, The Mocking Pokemon. A Fairy-Flying Single Stage Fakemon. Here's my description for it: Based on the Laughing Kookaburra and the Bogong Moth, these chattering nuisances from down under spend all night menacing their prey in flocks under cover of dark with unseen giggles. Their bellies glow as they build their delight until ready to unleash the magical din of their laughter. They play games with unsuspecting travelers. Those few that see them in the evening are met with feathery grins with flailing tongues flapping before their eyes that disappear into the night with mocking jeers. Now I'm using it as my entry for @n0rtist's tFT500, a tournament of Fakemon wit ha base stat total of 500

What's RatePkmn? Well, the project was started by UmbreonLibris as a way to analyze and compare Pokémon designs through consensus than the views of a single person. They aggregate the ratings you provide to calculate the average opinions of Pokémon fans on each Pokémon. The data is public and open.

How does it work? You're basically served a pokemon at random based on how many ratings it has relative to others and what you've already rated. You simply use the 5-point slider to convey how you feel the pokemon vibes in each aesthetic category.

Also how much you like or dislike it.

And I like playing with this data to learn stuff and my video will be about my insights. Why am I bringing this up?

Because we are at, like, nearly 150 ratings per design, and it would be really neat to actually achieve that number. A nice good round number to work from. And because the more opinions, the more clear the consensus becomes.

The site even has graphs and lists you can mess with yourself and see how your favorites stack, what categories do pokemon excel in, are there relationships between coolness and type? That type of thing.

Anyhow, I'm going to get back to making some graphs.

I had a stupid idea stuck in my head and I finally unleashed it.

It’s a joke that’s basically a niche within a niche: Skits about off-brands about Pokémon only it’s about Pokémon YouTubers.

It’s basically a comedy skit with an audience of no one except maybe me. But I enjoyed making it and hopefully you do. If nothing else you get to see me make dumb faces and do goofy reaction bits.

Also it’s my first time ever making an incredibly stupid “YouTube clickbait” style thumbnail that I put together in like an hour.
