@umaou
Despite having planned for this over a week in advance, everything about it still makes him nervous. Even now it hardly feels real Ouma agreed to this at all. They’re actually going on a date. A date on the most significant date night of the year. That alone is overwhelming, but the thoughts lingering in the back of his mind that remind him of everything he has planned for this- everything he’s meticulously put together over the course of the month -only amplify it.
There’s no room for getting cold feet now, though. No matter how anxious it makes him, he can do this. That’s what he repeats to himself as he stands outside the door to Ouma’s room, steeling himself to knock. Saihara can’t loiter for too long; Ouma already knows he’s coming. Taking too long will look suspicious. Like he stood him up.
He takes a deep breath to steady himself, shifting the package he’s brought with him in his hands. Initially, Saihara planned to wait until they came back to give this to him, but with how low the temperature’s dropped, it might suit him better to have it beforehand. That, and he’s eager to see the look on Ouma’s face when he receives it. Hopefully it’s something he’ll like.
With that in mind, he finally brings himself up to the door and knocks, trying to still the shaking of his hands as he does so. There’s no need to be so nervous! They’ll have fun. This will be nice. Everything will go perfectly. He just has to keep telling himself that.
