@ukubi​ a jingle announces her approach as the bell on her santa hat swings excitedly, orbiting over the moon with clouds of shaving cream eclipsing her face. "Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas, Amajiki-senpai!" bridging the space between them, she extends her arm with a small white box held by the petals of her fingertips (except her pinky!). 

the white box was painted with a pale blue sky & a white bunny in a lavender apron watering some flowers! inside the box were a multitude of purple bouquets ranging from light to darker shades. beneath the delicate paper flowers / embraced by each paper wrapping were small bags of flower seeds! in the center of the box, surrounded by the meadow of bouquets was the gift's centerpiece / its sun: a small purple, gold, and white butterfly pin she won after several tries on a gashapon! 

“Merry Christmas Ochako-santa.” The older teen mused softly. “The shaving cream beard is always a nice touch.” 

He takes the pretty little box she’d given him and smiles at the display of paper flowers. Plenty of seeds that most people would plant for a garden or indoor plant. He intended to eat them. But later. 

He immediately focused on the butterfly pin and he lit up. His favorite thing.

“ Ah — kacchan isn’t actually a barbarian … he’s – well … he’s kacchan … so — ”

“ — but don’t worry, uravity! i’ve got lookout! ”

“ mmmmmm ….. mrrrhhhhhhh ….. hhhggghhhh … ”  what the hell kind of noises are those, shōyō?! are you ill?! is what his friends would have told him, effectively getting him to quiet and settle down, but they’re not here right now. so shōyō continues the battle of wills raging on inside of him right now, each side battling valiantly against the other in an effort to win : beach? no beach? waves … waves evil …. water strong …. ME STRONGER … 

“ s ….. s - su … sure ... ”   he mumbles out, forcing the words from his mouth with fists clenched as his self preservation instincts (what little of them he has) lose against the much larger part of him that’s stubborn and refuses to back down no matter what. but then – the brilliant idea hits him!  “ you wanted to see what the difference between beach and indoor volleyball was, right?! we can watch everyone play!!! there’s a lot you can learn from the sidelines, you know!! ”  he nods emphatically to his words, feeling triumphant over his stupendously brilliant idea.
