It's been 8 years since the Paranormal Liberation War and the end of All For One and One For All. Japanese society has since rebuilt, with notable changes to the hero system and the HPSC. With crime the lowest it's been in decades, pro-heroes now find themselves with a significant amount of free time. It's up to them to decide how they want to use it --- will they enjoy the small things in life, making memories with friends? Will they figure out more about themselves, growing into who they are as a person and not just a hero? Will they still dedicate their time to heroism whatever way they can, whether it be charities or rehabilitation programs, donations or research, lectures or mentoring?
It's a new era of what everyone likens to peaceβ¦but still, while crime is low, it isn't completely gone either. The sun shines bright on these new heroes, but beneath the flashiness of bank thieves and robbers and bridge or car rescues, there is something more sinister brewing in the shadows. There's been recent reports of an underground drug that is starting to spread throughout the streets, but very little info on where it's coming from, who's in charge, and worst of all --- what it truly does to a person.
It's up to the heroes now to try and figure it out and put a stop to it. The public believes in them, and the underground heroes are working to get more informationβ¦but will they be able to learn everything they need in time? There's a clock that's ticking and unfortunately for them, they don't know when it'll reach the end of the countdown.
