Having been kept apart for over a year, I have been reacquainted with the British High street at long last and if i am totally honest, England i’m a little disappointed. We have a definite case of absence made the heart grow fonder. I expected to walk into stores like Zara, H&M, Topshop and River Island and be dazzled by new trends that apparently ‘isolated’ Perth had never seen but it all looked garishly bright and hideously patterned in unflattering shapes and tacky material. Perhaps my tastes have changed and not only have i become a coffee snob (yeh thanks for that Perth try getting good coffee in the middle of nowhere!) but I’ve reached those years of ‘quality over quantity' give me a £50 real leather pump over a break in a week £5 plastic one any day. Mother would be proud. Still holding out for next season when sales have diminished, come on the UK.
This being said…. I did manage to indulge in a little department with cash over some high street delights: A black cotton and outrageously comfortable jumpsuit from H&M and some colourful bedazzled bling from Zara. I love love love this jumpsuit as it can look so effortlessly chic when dressed up for the evening yet be so comfortable and light for wear in the day. As for the necklace, well those who know me best will know I’ve always been partial to a bit of neck candy.
