Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr): Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made Zakat al-Fitr obligatory as a means of purifying the fasting person from idle talk and foul language, and to feed the poor.
