So, we decided to switch phone carriers, as our phones were paid off and we've gotten good feedback about Mint in our area for service, and it would be a fraction of the cost of our current Verizon plan.
Hubby got things rolling and his phone switched over no problem. We just needed to do mine, but forgot to yesterday. So this morning I remembered and we went to do the last steps and something went wrong. Because of course it would... We've done all the troubleshooting, and talked to customer support on both ends. Even though Verizon said my phone was unlocked when hubby started this process, something internally glitched and my phone suddenly became locked mid-transfer. The Verizon customer service person tried to fix it but couldn't, and thus put in a support ticket, but warned us it could take 48 business hours (legit what he said) to hear back anything...
Meanwhile my phone cannot finish transferring over to Mint, but as far as Verizon is concerned it's disconnected. So I have zero ability to text or call outside of contacting emergency services. When I have wifi I have the ability to get emails and google meet video calls, but that's it. We don't have a landline because they're expensive, and I have to take Havoc to her ice skating class tomorrow... My anxiety is really hating the idea of not being able to be contacted by anyone while I'm away from the house.
So this fucking sucks. Also my period started mid-morning, because of course it did. Oh and we have to go to the inlaws tomorrow afternoon... Which has the possibility to royally suck. Hubby is fully prepared for us to just up and leave if people can't be nice, but still I sorta want to just tell them to fuck off... But part of the meal is supposed to be a belated bday dinner for Havoc, so I'm hoping for her sake it isn't as bad as I think it will be.
Everything food-wise here went well today, and it was really nice to get to stay home and just have my mom over. We ate yummy food and played Uno and then Hues & Cues, until it was past the kiddos' bedtime. So that was lovely. 💜
(Chaos' two word cue was "Mom's Allergic" and immediately everyone put their pieces on darker shades of purple, it was hilarious. My grape allergy made the perfect cue. 😅)
If anyone has any sway with the technology gods, please pray to them on my behalf, because I really don't want to not have a working phone until some time next week. 🥲
Sending hugs to you all, and I hope you had a good day and got to laugh. 🫂💜
