「♟」 response to @udxjack‘s meme here!

AN ACTIVE MIND, when bored, always finds something or the other to keep it stimulated, be it productive or destructive. building large and easily triggered traps around the dollhouse likely falls into the latter category, but cathal can’t bring himself to regret any of it as he stumbles across a hilarious sight--one of the letter blocks 「J 」has captured some overly curious creature within its wooden walls, and the desperate scrambling is far too amusing. 

PERCHED ATOP A fallen log, cathal studies the letter block, a smile dancing on his lips. “i don’t think i want to,” he says, voice loud enough to penetrate the block. “you see, i am deriving great enjoyment out of your situation.” drumming his fingers against his cheek, cathal stretches his legs out and crosses his ankles. it would take a minute or two to break down the block at most, but that would require effort he doesn’t want to expend. 

Evie raised her eyebrows at the male, pondering the idea. It was the first she had ever even heard of such a concept and in a way, she felt sheltered. She only ate her meals with her family, breakfast lunch and dinner like always. Snacking or extra meals outside of that were a foreign concept to her, but then again others had to eat and when tending to a royal family they had to find time to do so.

“That sounds rather odd actually. Although I suppose midnight is technically morning. But still, the whole idea is... odd.”

Julian rarely found others that peaked his interest enough for him to stay around for long. Jack just happened to be one of the few that didn’t repel him. The two would usually send their time in a small clearing, just enjoying themselves - usually due to Julian’s silent urgings.

Today was one of those days that Julian found himself just relaxing with the other beside him. The  moment those words escaped the taller male’s lips, Julian couldn’t help but turn his head to face the latter. A soft hum of acknowledgement was all the younger twin gave in response as he lifts himself into a sitting position before patting his lap.
