Story:
Y/N L/N was a superb agent, and was best friends with Clayton Reeves, the NCIS’ MI6 liaison agent. She was supposed to go under cover at a strip bar because an unhinged man was suspected of killing the dancers and waitresses from the area, the first victim having been a naval reserve officer made it an NCIS case. Gibbs had just told the guys, Bishop having been away that week, and their reactions were pretty much the same.
“I don’t like it, she shouldn’t be alone in there.”-Torres
“She won’t be, right Gibbs?”-McGee
“No, Torres’ll be there, and the rest of us’ll be in the parking lot.”-Gibbs
“Me?”-Torres
“Well Reeves would stick out like a sore thumb, and McGee would blow his cover in a minute tops.”-Gibbs
McGee wasn’t insulted in the slightest, neither was Reeves, and Torres didn’t know what to think about the fact that everyone seemed to think that he’d fit in at a strip club. He looked to Reeves, who hadn’t spoken for a while.
“Reeves, what’s with the look?”-Torres
“I can see it working, but I don’t like it.”-Reeves
A second later he tried to explain.
“Not that-Y/N, you know what I mean, right? You know I don’t-I mean, Not that you’re-but you’re my friend and-“-Reeves
She grinned, opting to tease him to try and up the team’s morale, even earning a slight smirk from Gibbs.
“Sorry Reeves, I don’t think of you that way, but I here that Lorna at the front desk-“-Y/N
“Oh shut up.”-Reeves
She grinned at him and he grinned back.
“You love me, don’t deny it.”-Y/N
“As if.”-Reeves
One thing was for certain, Reeves was glad he stayed at NCIS, they were the family he never had, but had always wanted.
