Copyright is such a double edged sword, and it seems to favour the "big guys" a lot more.
and then I look and see what modern myth is invented in spaces where creative commons rules. Think Lovecraftian horror, while it has problematic roots. Lovecraft allowing others to use his work and to share back and forth brought to life a myth that feels living. As much as any story from long ago.
And now places like the SCP foundation, or even our collaberations on tumbler here. They feel more alive than sequels.
But at the same time writers need to make a living.
I mean the answer is UBI.
The answer is ALWAYS UBI.
and until we have true liveable UBI, we need that double edged sword.
I'm just gonna use creative commons. I like people playing in words I create. That's why I create them.
