I’ve come to the end of my Iron Blood crusade and it’s wildly bittersweet. The gacha gods were kind and this year has been an absolute feat for my Kraut Girls in terms of events. I was able to effectively double my preferred dock but, more than that, i finally got that ever illusive Inverted Orthant rerun. Those girls were my white whales and i finally had the opportunity to make up for that initial run, an opportunity i more than made up for. I slammed that banner with the force of a thousand suns and went at that event like a starving man who finally got that banquet he’d been lusting after for weeks. I was content when i added those ships to my dock, never once thinking I'd be ab to fill that last gap in my Iron Blood Faction. Oh, how wrong i was. With the newest update, the benevolent overlords at Manjuu decided to add The Enigma of the Shark to War Archives as well as permanently add U-110 to the Special Construction Pool! Believe me when i say, i lost my sh*t!

U-110 was the last Iron Blood boat i need to complete my dock. She was the mos elusive ship out there, especially considering her initial event happened three years ago, with the rerun popping up a year later. Interestingly enough, that Rerun coincided with the initial Orthant rerun so, in retrospect, i f*cked up pretty bad. Missed it by actual weeks and had been chasing that ghost ever since. To add insult to injury, U-110 and her event had been available in other territories for years. I knew I'd get a shot at her eventually but i had no idea it would come so soon. Like, i was mad content with everything else Iron Blood sent my way this year. To have the opportunity to add the very last boat to my dock was just a cherry on a decadent sundae. Obviously, i went hard at the banner day one. It cost me probably a hundred Cubes but i popped my darling Shark Girl and immediately went insane! U-110 is the jewel in my Iron Blood crown and i finally, FINALLY, completed my quest. After that initial rush of adrenaline and time to reflect, i suddenly understood that it’s over. Everything was done. I finished my quest. What the hell do i do now?

Obviously, the grind is still a thing. I have a ton of sh*t to do in terms of upkeep and leveling for my dock. Those Orthant boats came through and began to eat up just SO many of my resources. I’ve come a long way, but i still have a long road ahead. I was able to level Prinz Heinrich to 122 and Oath her, the first Orthant ship to get a ring, but still a ways to that 125 cap. Peter Strasser is coming along nicely, too. She’s at level 118 with max affection. I don’t have a spare ring right now but you better believe she’s getting the next one. The rest are all under 100 but that’s mostly because I'm focusing on the SR boats, U-37. Subs are a pain because of the limited grinding opportunities but we’ll get there. Every Iron Blood ship in my dock, except for U-110, has learned all of their skills and maxed them out. Every boat in my dock, with the exception of the newcomers, is at least level 120, most of which have enough stocked Experience to immediately level to 125 once they are Broken. Also, with this new update, we got an Augment for Z23. I already have the other two for Eugen and Zeppelin so it was a no-brainer to build the new one. I'm glad I did because it turned my Starter Ship into a goddamn powerhouse! She's as strong as the Rainbow ships I have in my dock and I find that absolutely outrageous. My Iron Blood dock isn’t too far off from being perfect so, even though i still have some things to do for my Kraut Girls, it’s not much. Where do i go from here? It’s wild to think i started all of this on a whim, two years ago, just because i liked the way Prinz Eugen looked. I have no idea where to go from here but i look forward to the unknown future!
