Memories of a child me, looking through the newspaper, excited to read the cartoon section.

I still remember the time, where early in the morning, there would be someone on a bike who deliver newspapers. However, my mom doesn't buy newspaper. So what I did, was going to my neighbors house and borrow some old newspaper just to look at the cartoon section and if there would be a sudoku, so I could try answer it, even though I don't know how. Remembering that was embarrassing and funny.

Moreover, as I grew older I realized that I'm quite interested in broadcasting, though I never got a chance to join trainings because my mom forbid me so. That is why, whenever there would be roleplays, I love to be the narrator.

Today, it is easier for us to get information through the use of internet. It is faster and convenient. Before, I don't realize the importance of newspaper since I thought that it is too boring. Now I've come to realize how newspaper can inform at the same time fool everyone.

Today, majority of us doesn't use newspaper anymore, unless it is for projects.

How The Different Types of Media (Print, Broadcast, Film/ Movies, New Media) Affect Me Everyday

What is media? for me media is a way or a device that can help you access information easily. Using media helps us to know almost everything about our society without media who knows what will happen. There are different types of media (print media, broad cast media, film/cinema, video games/digital games, and new media) these types of media have higher impact for those who use this and sometimes it also becomes an addiction for them.

Students must learn information literacy. why? Its because having a knowledge in this field will help the students recognize that not all information is created equal. For example, contents and other informations in the internet continually grows, but not all informations that you see is credible. This means that there is a lot of bad information to sort through when conducting a research. It's not always easy to determine which are credible and which are not. This is why learning information literacy is important because it helps the students gain knowledge and be prepared to find the data that they need for any task in life.

Traditional media constitutes a set of media covering media channels such as television, newspapers, radio, and magazines.

New Media refers to a different or newer way of creating, processing, and transmitting information.

Types of Media

Traditional Media

They are the origins of advertising and the most common medium used on a regular basis by companies. This was the only way to provide the public with information. Print media were the only media for entertainment during the 1980s and 1990s. People relied on journals and magazines, recipes and entertainment news to learn more about the country or the world.

Broadcasting Media

The media broadcast offers valued content to inform , educate and include announcements of the public service, regular news, weather predictions, interviews and documentaries. Broadcast media is also leisure which includes broadcast reality, situation comedy which sketching, animations, sports and ads. This include television, radio, podcasts, blogs, advertising, websites, online streaming and digital journalism

New Media or The Internet

New media is used to refer to media that were popular and widespread in most parts of the world as the use of computer technology were ordinary.
