#type society

The Type Society was showing a documentary about sign painters and as I have an interest in lettering and just generally find sign painting really cool I went along. It was awesome to see the perspectives of all of these different sign painters across America, seeing how they got into it all while learning the heritage of it too. Obviously we live in a world where brands and stores want cheaper, plastic signs etc. but honestly I can’t see why there aren’t more brands wanting hand painted signs! They look really cool.
