sooo I just started dating an ISTP. and surprisingly, its much more compatible than I thought. 

ENFJs and ISTPs have the same functions in opposite orders. It’s been quite beautiful to see how my dom Fe soothes his inf Fe and how his dom Ti never stops piquing my interest. I let him know appropriate responses to thorny social situations (lol) and he helps me process things by succinctly summarizing and reflecting what I say. 

We are really good at hanging out. We both let ourselves enjoy the moment and each others’ presence. We both care about doing right by others, loyalty, exploring the now, and thinking about the future. 

INTJs: I probably need to stop getting crushes on them. They probably need to stop accidentally sabotaging themselves and getting into situations bad for them. Good person to have around (Picks people pretty carefully.) AWESOME person to get into discussions with — the shared Ni is great. TERRIBLE person to have as your enemy. DO. NOT. PISS. OFF. AN. INTJ. Especially not one you’ve known for a long time, because they will know all your weak spots. (Disclaimer: I’ve only been close with three INTJs, so this probably doesn’t represent all INTJs.)

INTPs: May be slightly biased here as two of my close friends are INTPs (maybe. One might be an ENTP, however much he says he’s not an extrovert.), but also very awesome. SO great at telling when someone is bad for you (LISTEN. TO. THEM. REALLY. THEY’RE NOT WRONG.) Not so good at telling when someone is bad for them, and can often hold onto unhealthy friendships for way too long. Sometimes hard to get to know, but totally worth it!
