In traditional printing, capital letters were stored in an upper case above the small letters' lower case, leading to the terms "uppercase" and "lowercase."

Fun fact: “upper case” and “lower case” refer to the actual cases in which letterpress printers stored their movable type letters. Capital letters were usually held in a separate, higher case. 

Finally getting around to sorting some reglets by size. Much more efficient than working from a pile on the counter.

I bought a type case yesterday! It was originally used to house 18 pt Stymie (according to the very weathered labels) and the seller estimated it was from the 20s or 30s
