Serpent Herbalists
“Tylon or Tylus [of Lydia] was a son of Earth. One day as he was walking on the banks of the Hermus a serpent stung and killed him. His distressed sister Moire had recourse to a giant named Damasen, who attacked and slew the serpent. But the serpent's mate culled a herb, ‘the flower of Zeus,’ in the woods, and bringing it in her mouth put it to the lips of the dead serpent, which immediately revived. In her turn Moire took the hint and restored her brother Tylon to life by touching him with the same plant. A similar incident occurs in many folk-tales. Serpents are often credited with a knowledge of life-giving plants.”**
—J. G. Frazer, Adonis, Attis, Osiris, part 1 (The Golden Bough, vol. V, 1914, p. 186)
**Frazer’s Footnote: “Thus Glaucus, son of Minos, was restored to life by the seer Polyidus, who learned the trick from a serpent. See Apollodorus, Bibliotheca, iii. 3. I. For references to other tales of the same sort see my note on Pausanias, ii. 10. 3 (vol. iii. pp. 65 sq.). The serpent's acquaintance with the tree of life in the garden of Eden perhaps belongs to the same cycle of stories” (p. 186).

「A painful memory—」
A glimpse of Tylus and Audra’s past…
Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
What is one of your character's secrets? Why is this a secret? What would happen if this secret got out?
I’ll try my two new ocs for this :P
Tylus - they are mute yes, but they taught themself how to talk. People would hassle them if they ever spoke so they keep it quiet
Tovush - he wants to go back to living in Uzbekistan (he and his family are currently in Estonia) where hes from. His parents wouldn’t be happy because “we moved FOR you!”, which is a big lie, he just wants to see his friends
You know when you don't speak your mind and feelings start boiling inside.
Inktober day 2 Tranquil/Ramus,Tylus.

You may not recognize him, but this is Tylus!!
Enjoy this slice of story while I go make tea
A couple of crappy sketches of a friend’s character, Tylus “The Mute”. He is also a DnD character and will also be making an appearance in my webcomic, though he is limited to Christopher’s first arc.
Here’s a description I’ve written for him
Tylus, ‘The Mute’. An elf rouge who is blind and mute with incredible thieving and sneaking skills. Extremely difficult to detect even by the most skilled warriors. Kevin ends up detecting him after he targets Chris out of curiosity(Tylus senses the amount of power coming from Kevin)
Physical description: 5’7, black hair, long black coat, boots and gray pants. Fedora-like hat and a steel mask over his face. Uses charcoal to draw crude facial expressions on said mask. Underneath the mask, his face is horrible mutilated by either a fire or some other incident. Magic artifacts: Cloak of Arachnida- “This black garment, embroidered with a weblike pattern in silk, gives the wearer the ability to climb as if a spider climb spell had been placed upon him. In addition, the cloak grants him immunity to entrapment by web spells or webs of any sort—he can move in webs at half his normal speed. Once per day, the wearer of this cloak can cast web.”
Additional: Only known as “The Mute”
