Background: The party has just rescued a few dozen villagers from the local temple, in which the Cult of the Dragon was attempting to break in and loot the place. At the rear entrance, the Rogue had killed and stolen a cultist's clothing, and the only character who could fit in his robes was the terrible-at-diplomacy Fighter, Arkady. Arkady had managed to convince the kobolds nearby to follow his every command. Upon entering the keep through an old tunnel entrance, the following occurs: DM (me): You re-enter the keep, and upon seeing the kobolds, the guards aim their crossbows at the kobolds and Arkady, still impersonating a cultist. Arkady: Woah, woah, woah, it's me! *pulls down hood* DM: The guards lower their weapons, very much confused by the situation. Governor: Do you mind telling me what you're doing in those robes? Morgran: It's a long story that has to do with my height.
Tyranny of Dragons campaign, the player characters are attempting to repair the sally port after a small group of bandits broke in. The following occurs:
Drow Ranger (OOC): I shoot an arrow through the hole in the door at one of the charging kobolds. *rolls*
DM (me): The arrow flies true, burrows itself straight in the kobold’s eye, and after stumbling around for a few seconds, finally falls dead.
Half-Dragon Wizard (OOC): So it was a painful death?
DM: Yes, yes it was.
Wizard (OOC): That’s so terrible!
Dwarf Paladin (OOC): Says the one who ripped a drake’s jaw apart…
Wizard (OOC): IT BIT MY FAVORITE ARM!
