hey im my recent reblog i posted some sources for the stuff I was talking about! the gag orders on the press also mainly has to do with criminal cases. now I can understand that in some cases, especially those involving children, but there's gag orders on the press to not report the whereabouts of certain sex offenders, not report on certain pertinent news (such as Boris Johnson having a very close relationship with ghislaine maxwell...and I mean VERY close. you can see how this would affect public opinion of Johnson so they're not allowed to report it anymore)
