Being in a relationship should not be difficult. It should be easy because both of you made a commitment. Neither one should not make each other feel like he/she has to choose — the relationship or the others (either family, friends, career, etc.)
Both are supportive as well as both make sure that no one is feeling unease or questions their relationship that they currently have.
Your relationship should be a home, not a battlefield. You find your partner as your best friend, your confidant, your family — again your home.
