I like our hairstyle.
People find it weird, our bodily parents want us to grow it to be more "girly" out and Haste had to confirm a million times this IS what we wanted.
The least weird thing is a rattail reaching to the lower half of our back, it has damaged ends but Haste is not ready to cut it and I will not be the one to say what the person who *gave* us that hairstyle should do, if xin is not ready to do it, I am not ready too.
The top is split. And that's the part I like the most. Half is more of Karen-like hairstyle, yes with bangs, and this is the hairstyle me&Cauliflower have in headspace. The other side is buzz cut but with a face framing piece left making an illusion that side is longer than in reality.
The weirdness of this hairstyle is what makes it beautiful and expressive. Without using wigs all of us have some piece of us in it and if we wish to we can style it differently. A woman aligned alter want a ponytail? No problem, just tie the rattail. Somebody wants a braid? Also rattail. Masc appearing alter fronting? Push the longer side a little bit to the back and done. Me? Just leave it the way it is. Even somebody with more curled hair has a way to curl the longer side, while our rattail already has strong natural waves
There's also a thing that anybody who would accept our hairstyle is probably way more of an accepting person than average here and this is the type of people we want to surround ourselves with.
In short, I am very grateful to Haste for giving us and maintaining it.
