two bbs // so last night i binge watched avatar with my friends and it was nice :)
The past year (timewise) has been one of the hardest I’ve had in recent time. This time last year I started with a cancer scare (I ended up being fine but it took 3 months for real answers) and because of that I was needing extensions on school assignments and getting a very late start on studying for the GREs. I was also hemorrhaging money with medical bills and said exam. A week before I took the test Princess passed away. I did terribly and had to retake it. I did better and managed to get my PhD applications in a month later. A week after that, just after Thanksgiving, Mayhem passed away. At this point, I’m defeated and exhausted. I gained nearly 30 pounds in a year and my pants weren’t fitting anymore. I’m finally coming out of it. I’ve been working out and eating better and taking time for myself. But those who follow this blog know I’d been a tad afk the last couple months so thank you for your patience. Pizza - my green budgerigar - is healthy and happy although I think he’s a little lonely. Mr. Beans is also healthy and happy. I may adopt a new budgie buddy after I move, but my main priority is making sure they’re okay and that I am too so I can care for them. Anyway, I finally painted for the first time in over a year and decided to commemorate the friends we lost along the way in a reimagining of Raphael’s Two Cherubs. Thanks for reading.
