Not So Silent Partner
Bracken walked through the Shreveport airport. He is on his phone talking to his assistant, Avis. “Get me a room at the Hilton until Ruby can get my house in order. She told me that they just finished putting in new hardwood floors. I need at least a week stay. Thank you, Avis. Give Elena call and tell I have made it to Shreveport.” Brack tells Avis in very direct manner with disdain behind his words. He hangs up and not even saying bye to Avis.
Bracken was quickly moving in and out through the crowds of people in the airport. He unlocks his screen on his cell phone. Bracken pulls up his contact list and finds Bobby’s name in his phone. He calls Bobby the phone rings and Bobby answers,”Speak to me man.” “Bobby, it is Bracken Cadwell. I am a silent partner investor in Candy’s business. I heard that you were checking on me. Trust me I am legitimate. This is not the only reason for my call, Bobby. I want to have a sit down talk with Miss Candice Jones.” Bracken says. “That is great to hear because she wants to have a meeting with you, as well. She has a lot of questions and concerns for you.” Bobby says to Bracken. Bracken laughs then replies, “That is good. Tell her to bring all her questions. I am will be happy to answer them. Bobby, you give little Miss Candice Jones a call and arrange a meeting time. I’ll be staying at the Hilton. Call me there.” Bracken ends the call.
Bracken steps outside to the curbside where his limo is waiting for him. Bracken slides in on the limo seat. “James, the Hilton.” James says, “Yes, Mister Cadwell.” James drives Bracken to Hilton. On his way in Bracken takes out his phone and sends a text message to Kol Mikaelson; Midget, I am in the city. I will be coming through to see you. Please have the welcoming committee. Bracken hits the send button. James stops and says, “We are here Mr. Cadwell.” Bracken gets out of the limo and walks into Hilton to handle business. Bracken laughs when he sees a sign that says, ‘Welcome to Shreveport.’
