I SWEAR THE SHOW WAS BUILDING UP HIM(DANNY) FINALLY INTERACTING WITH HIS DAD BUT NO HE GETS REDUCED TO THIS AGGRESSIVE THING THAT JUST CANT TALK -I FEEL LIKE THE POINT OF HIS CHARACTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIS CHARISMA AND HIS AGGRESSION WAS ONLY SOMETHING THAT SHOWS WHEN NESSECARY- LIKE THIS MEN WAS CHARMING GLORIA, THE DECTATIVE LADY, TESS AND KAREN LIKE THEY LITERALLY WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HIM BUT NO HIS TRAUT IS AGGRESSION THE ONE THING THAT KILLS HIM –THEY WASTED HIS ARC BECAUSE YOU CANT TELL ME CHARACTER THAT HAD SUCH AN IMPACT ON DANNY WASN’T MEANT TO HAVE THIS TUSSLE AND CONFLICT for atleast seasons WITH TESS, DANNY AND KAREN AND HOW DEEPLY HE WAS CONNECTED TO THAT TOWN \(LITTERALLY HAD THE MAYORS CO-SIGN) BUT NO –LETS FOCUS ON STUPID TEEN LOVE TRIANGLES AND JO –LIKE KAREN WENT FROM SAYING VIK WAS A COMPLEX CHARACTER TO JUST BEING ABOUT MONEY /AND BURY THAT BASTERD –WHAT ?/WHERE DID THE 180 COME FROM????? SHE LITERALLY WAS STILL MARRIED TOO HIM –THIS JACK PERSON HAPPENED TOO SOOON LIKE WHY DID THEY CHANGE WRITERS—WASTED POTENTIAL AND I KNOW THEIRS PROBABLY A SHOW THAT EXECUTED THIS IDEA BUT IT ISNT DIVERSE ;( ☹☹☹

If I had a nickel for every time Avan Jogia played a character named Danny who murdered someone at the age of 11, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
So I rewatched the entire second half of ABC Family’s Twisted the other day and I’m kind of ashamed to admit I’ve wasted the last two days working on a retelling of the entire thing because the lost potential. They shot themselves in the foot by revealing the biggest mystery so early and then it got so unnecessarily convoluted because they had already shown all their cards. And they kind of did Danny and Jo dirty by speeding up his confession so they could set the OTP in stone before the series got cancelled (not that I’m complaining they at least had the decency to confirm Janny).
Now the thing is over 16k words and filled with slow-burn Janny, Jacey/Dacey/Trio friendship and a mystery package spanning 3 full seasons complete with a tentative soundtrack and one hell of a series’ finale 😂
