     ❝ my story? ❞ castor asked, a little more surprised than his brother would have been upon hearing the question. still, a grin spread across his face as he rested his chin in his hand on the bar counter, considering it. this was a story him and pollux usually told together, but he seemed too enraptured with talking to a girl who had been pretty keen on flirting with him to even care about this right now. castor was a little glad for that; he knew that pollux would try to flirt with this woman, too, and he wasn’t sure how that would blow over. she had a strange air to her-- not in a bad way, though.

                 truth be told, there are a lot of things that you would not do. you believe in ethics above all. an ethical ruler, an ethical kingdom, a united kingdom under you eyes. you do not intend to harm more than you have too. never the innocents. only other soldiers. you have already written and said things about war crimes and how they will dealt within your army.

                    there’s also your growing list of moral wills and will nots that have crossed your mind as of late. they fill your head questions and quandarys boggling your mind to all hours of the night. you think and you think and you think and you think. but there’s no good answers other than the ones you ponder. 

“taako, i can reach it! i can- taako!” and just like that angus’s feet are no longer touching the ground. it’s surprising how strong the wizard actually is, how swiftly he’s able to grab angus and scoop him up into his arms, to maneuver him onto his shoulders. there’s no helping the small giggle that escapes his lips, even if he was truly determined to reach the cardamom pods on his own. and, of course, it is considerably easier to reach the top shelf of the cabinet now with taako’s aded height, and it’s much more fun than his fruitless jumping from before.

          -- - HIS PUPILS shrink as the wizard continues to speak.  the more words that pour from his mouth make quill shrink back.  does he have no remorse?  the warforged reaches a hand up, scratching the side of his mask.   was this a joke?

     ❛ a. . .  ah?  d. . . did everyone survive?  why was it burned down, stranger? ❜   he stands there awkwardly- making sure to keep his guard up.   ❛ towns don’t burn down without reason. ❜   unless the gods were angered, he supposed.
