14. an ‘ i’m sorry ’ kiss

Mello is pissed at him——and rightly so. Ever since Matt caught Mello’s trail in the States, he’s left obvious signs that he’s looking for him that anyone could notice and use to track the blond down. Well. Hardly anyone could notice, or would look, really. Basically the only one aside from Mello himself who would recognise the trail of breadcrumbs Matt has left is Near. Who, Matt knows, is likely the last person Mello wants to track his movements.

So. Rightly pissed.

Mello’s jaw is tight and he’s refusing to look at Matt, faced away in a way that most of his scar—which, what the fuck, Mello—is hidden from Matt’s view. But he doesn’t pull away or push him back when Matt invades his personal space, wrapping his fingers around his wrist and leaning in close. “ Come on, Mello, what else was I supposed to do? You just left and I—— ” He grits his teeth to stop his breath from hitching, changing tactics. “ They wouldn’t tell me where you went, or why you left, I had to figure out for myself that L... ”

Fuck.

“ Fuck. Look, I’m sorry, okay? I wouldn’t have done it if——I just wanted to see you again. ” His voice grows so quiet towards the end that it barely counts above a whisper, but Matt still can’t stop the way it cracks at the admission. Mello still isn’t looking at him, and Matt can’t read the tension lining his body. It’s been too long.

Matt pushes closer and presses his lips to the corner of Mello’s mouth, the best he can do with Mello’s face angled away from him.

“ there you are. ” he would open his arms and his meowstic would walk into his arms. he’d give her head a ruffle and give the stranger a warm smile. the pokemon makes a happy noise; clearly she’s pleased to be back with her owner.

Slowly….slowly….perfect. The barely audible click of his door shutting made Zacharias sigh in relief. As he began his plan to sneak out of his room, he worried that his typically creaky door would echo through the quiet halls of the early morning. Luckily, it seemed that the gods were on his side tonight, since his door cooperated so nicely, so he whispered a prayer of thanks before leaving his room behind.

He listened intently to the boots of patrol knights clicking against the marble floors of Askr castle, the noise sometimes being muffled by rare instances of carpet. Zacharias knew the drill; he had done it a few times before, after all. In three minutes and forty six seconds, the first patrol would turn and he had his chance to slide past them up the stairs. The second patrol would reach the end of the hall in four minutes and twenty two seconds, allowing him to sneak down and take a right. The last one would spend a whole eight minutes and six seconds leisurely strolling down the hallway before moving to where the king and queen resided. With them out of the way, Zacharias let out a breath and walked quickly to the room at the very end.

hhh i have a few, for different reasons! for hanzo, i love mchanzo and widowhanzo. i think there’s a lot of chemistry in both, especially widowhanzo. it has some really interesting parallels! as for koujaku i love kouao. it’s so wholesome and i’m real weak for friends to lovers. i also like kouryuu and kounoi, but they’re less wholesome. for zack, i like him with aerith and cloud!

so far i’m happy with my muse choices! i think in the future i’d like to try out some more gal muses, widowmaker in particular. i think we have a lot in common and there’s a lot i can tap into. also the ovw fandom can do her so dirty gdi

matt enjoys being tied up! it can be anything from tying his wrists together with whatever is available to more elaborate bondage, but he really enjoys having his movements restricted and giving that control up to his partner. it could also extend to further restrictions like gags and blindfolds, but that—especially blindfolding him—would require more trust between him and his partner. as much as he likes his movement being limited, he has a hard time allowing himself to be vulnerable. so plays where his partner ties him up and to the bed and leaves him be for a long, unspecified time, for example, would still be a no for matt.
