* & – lee jooheon, cisgender male, he/him. it seems like emmett cullen has been seen around town, humming unstoppable by the score under their breath. apparently they are are a 20 / 106 year old gifted vampire. townsfolk whisper about them being fun-loving and humorous, but also flippant and blunt. they have the gift of advanced strength, have the occupation of student, and are a part of the olympic coven. ﴾ penned by mchales, 25, they/them, pst. ﴿
this intro took the longest cuz Emmett’s the one furthest from canon for me so strap in had to do a lot of research to be as historically accurate as possible, so if something’s wrong please feel free to message me and I’ll change it
Emmett’s parents immigrated from Korea to Hawaii in the first ship of immigrants from that country to make a better life.
They began working on a sugar plantation, barely making ends meat but still finding a way to get by. Emmett’s father, Choi Youngseung, was the hardest worker and smartest of the lowest level of employees at the plantation, slowly working his way up the ladder until he eventually became one of the heads of the company.
When the sugar cane company wanted to expand into the mainland, Youngseung was appointed to run the new facility in Louisiana.
He moved he and his wife to Louisiana and began work on the factory and had their first child, then another, and the third was baby Emmett. Knowing that they would be a minority in this area, they gave him two names, Kyoungyoon and Emmett.
Emmett was the youngest son with two older brothers and a baby sister, which led him to always wanting to prove himself to be as tough and manly as his brothers and protect his only younger sibling
at first, he was the smallest of the Choi clan, but then puberty hit him like a ton of bricks, shooting him up to 6′5″ and finally giving him the muscle mass he’d worked so hard for.
He spent his years working on the railroad with his brothers, their father insisting they work hard despite being relatively well off; Youngseung knew it was his work ethic that got him to where he was today, and wanted to instill that in his children.
Being both the youngest and middle son simultaneously, Emmett became a sort of black sheep of the family, going out, getting drunk and hooking up and gambling away his hard earned money rather than saving it (new money mentality)
he would always help to provide for his family by hunting, being better at it than either of his brothers. One day, while hunting, he was attacked by a large black bear (since grizzlies were never in the southern united states).
He would definitely have died if an angel hadn’t saved him, his Rosie
Now, he’s happily living with the Cullens, going to high school for another few years and now going to the community college. He never picks a major, he just picks the classes he likes and goes for it.
Anyone want to wrestle? He never turns down a challenge, ever
he unironically loves tiktok, though he did prefer vine when it was still a thing. Since he stays young forever, he’s always going to be up to date on memes and trends and dances. One of the only perks of staying in high school for so long
hes a very easy going, go with the flow kind of guy, but fuck with his family and you’re in trouble

* & – tanaya beatty, cis woman, she/her. it seems like rachel black has been seen around town, humming wanderer’s lullaby by adriana figueroa under their breath. apparently they are a 28 year old human. townsfolk whisper about them being empathetic and intelligent, but also flighty and bitter. they have the occupation of software engineer, and they are aware of the supernatural.
﴾ penned by sekh, 26, she/her, est. ﴿
where she’s been:
Rachel had a wonderful childhood. She’d give anything to go back to those good days that she’d spend on the beach with Jake and Rebecca. Those bonfire nights listening to her dad and the other elders tell their stories. Those moments with her mother.
Yet, things could never be the same after her mother’s sudden death. She did her best to help her family through their grief, but couldn’t quite manage to ever work through her own grief. At the first opportunity, she got away, accepting a full ride scholarship to Washington State University, studying computer engineering.
There’s a certain level of guilt she felt, running away like she did, but it was a much needed escape. Without the stifling memories of her home, she was able to grow and grieve in her own time. She graduated with honors and started work at a company not far from the university and was quite content to never come back to La Push.
where she is now:
Therefore, it had been strange, feeling the urge to go back to La Push after fleeing as soon as possible post-high school, but it had appeared. Perhaps it was lingering guilt over leaving Jacob to take care of their dad or something else entirely, but now that she’s back, she certainly regrets it. Sure, she’s happy to see her family again, but the memories she left behind haunt her at every corner - old family friends commenting how much she looks like her long gone mother, people from high school asking how Rebecca is when she herself hasn’t seen her twin in years, and more.
Needless to say, if it weren’t for Paul Lahote stumbling into her life, she would have been long gone by now. Learning that the legends her dad used to tell her were real? Startling. Learning that one of those legends imprinted on her - some sort of strange cosmic bond? Downright shocking. Yet, she can’t deny the connection she feels. So yeah, she’s going to stick it out for him, even if she’s eager for the day that he’ll stop phasing and they can move away from this old town.
Of course, she soon realizes that she’ll be waiting far longer than she’d like to, as apparently there’s been an influx of the supernatural into the area and the thought of trying to take one of La Push’s protectors away when its people need him most? Not something she can stomach. So, despite her uneasiness, she’s settled in for the long haul, working from home as a software engineer and pretending like every day here doesn’t make the itch under her skin worse.
* & – lee pace, cisgender male, he/him. it seems like garrett has been seen around town, humming american idiot by green day under their breath. apparently they are a thirty / three hundred years old vampire or hybrid. townsfolk whisper about them being curious and friendly, but also rebellious and quick-tempered. they have the occupation of unemployed, and are a part of the nomads.
﴾ penned by sekh, 26, she/her, est. ﴿
where he’s been:
Garrett was born all the way back in the mid-1700s and grew up a devoted patriot to his country. Fighting in the American Revolution, he fell victim to a rogue vampire who accidentally changed him after a feeding fest. His new life didn’t change who he really was, however.
Thrown into the world of vampirism, he tried to take it all in stride. Always a personable, curious individual, this was like a brand new adventure to him. During the remainder of the war, he used his newfound strength to help fight with his fellow patriots, always making certain to drain only British blood for sustenance.
After the war, he grew a bit lost, but cheered himself up with the knowledge that he’d get to see what no other revolutionary could - the growth of this fledgling America. He dealt with his thirst haphazardly, with only the barest care for who he was draining, but always made certain to at least be more careful than his creator - no accidental turnings on his conscience.
From those first few tumultuous decades, Garrett’s spent his life - well, his after life, that is - flying under the radar. Avoiding trouble when he could, sweet talking his way out of it when he couldn’t. While he’s made a few friends along the way, he’s always stuck to his solo nomad act.
where he is now:
Garrett has always wandered rather aimlessly across North America. So, when he felt the urge to drop by and visit old friend Carlisle in middle of nowhere Forks, Washington, he didn’t question the feeling. Imagine his surprise when he finds far more than just the Cullens he expected in the area.
While he knows curiosity killed the cat, he cannot help but stick around. He wants to see how this little seemingly impromptu gathering pans out. Between old grudges and enmities between the covens, La Push’s strange little wolf pack, and the humans caught in the center of it all, he knows that if nothing else, things are about to get interesting.
