#twilight rant

Like, Bella has fully chosen Edward and is engaged to him. Then, the minute Jacob finally decides to get over Bella, he manipulates her into kissing him because she doesn’t want to lose him. And all of the sudden she has some sort of deep, romantic love for him because they kissed.

It literally makes no sense.

Also don’t even get me STARTED on how when I’m enjoying random twilight media and they start to bully Alice outta nowhere.

Of course she’s gonna be acting like she knows this random person. Thanks to her powers she DOES know them like TF?!

They'll say she's weird for being helpful while in the same breath praise Edward for doing stupid shit

also , a 100+ year old dating a 17 year old is so predatory and weird .

they couldve at least put edward in a college setting . at least edward would be learning new stuff about the education system without people wondering why hes not forming wrinkles . maybe whenever he graduates he can go under a new identity ! or just do something with the ungodly amount of wealth the cullen family has .

or maybe they couldve stuffed him in an office ? owned by the cullen family , perhaps . at least he looks busy and explains all his cool stuff .

both of these situations still allow bellas original character to stay as it is , just with a little adjustments . in these settings , it still allows the "newbie (bella) x experienced (edward)" trope .

if a 17 year old witnessed queen victoria's death , the victorian era , the first airplane taking flight , the titanic sinking , wwi , the russian revolution , the league of nations establishment , the discovery of penicillin , the great depression , wwii , hiroshima , the united nations being formed , india and pakistans independence , the discovery of the dnas double helix structure , the vietnam war , the ussrs launching sputnik 1 , the cuban missile crisis , john f. kennedys assassination , the first moon landing , the global oil crisis , the first case of aids , the chernobyl nuclear disaster in ukrane , the berlin wall fallings , the ending of the soviet union , the world wide web becoming public , nelson mandelas presidency in south africa , princess dianas death , 9 / 11 , the completion of the genome project , hurricane katrina , and youtubes launching , im pretty sure theyd be anywhere other than some crummy highschool .

Let's just call it like it is Edward was an abusive ass boyfriend- I'm not gonna excuse his behaviour because he is a Vampire I'm sorry.

He literally was pushing and pulling Bella around before they were dating, basically going:

"look, I don't want you around me we aren't good together and I'm a danger, I'm literal walking red flags and will definitely ruin your life, but also I can't stay away from you, you are just so fascinating and I can't get you out of my head so don't leave me!"

For like weeks until he saves her from certain death and he deadass GASLIGHT's her into his adrenaline bullshit. If a man said to me "Well nobody will believe you" given ANY situation, I'm fearing for my life because that is such an abusive boyfriend ass thing to say!

Not to mention the stalking (Yes I read Midnight Sun I know the LITERAL extent of his stalking!) and fucking breaking into her bedroom to watch her sleep, again I don't care if he is a Vampire that makes me fear for my life entirely if I were Bella because that just shows that this man could be ANYWHERE watching me!

Did I also mention him kind of slowly isolating her from her friends at school. If you think about it, all of Bella's female friends (Jessica and Angela) were so hot for Edward, but at some point switched up and distance themselves from Bella when Edward shows up, unless it's lunch. Like I'm yet to see Bella walk the school hallway with her friends and not Edward OR Alice!

Speaking of Alice, look I love her and I love how we as people who love and hate Twilight love Alice; but she is also a bit toxic too....

Let me explain don't boo me just yet!

She has this tendency of ALWAYS doing things that Bella explicitly asks her not to do. Like we play it off as being quirky and cute because it's Alice, but baby girl really knows how to overstep a lot of Bella's boundaries; I'm yet to see a single Cullen take Bella's "No means No" and not turn it into a Yes every single time. Alice is always doing things that bring her amusement and enjoyment like dressing Bella up when we all know that girl barely can crawl in heels, she treats Bella like a literal human dress up doll, and if Edward asked she'd deadass hold Bella hostage so she doesn't spend time with her friend.....oh wait..... she's already done that! When she duped Bella into a sleepover because Edward asked her to in exchange for her pretty yellow Porsche she stole in Italy.

And I fucking HATE the Cullen family as a whole (Except Rosalie and Emmett) like I love them, but I also HATE them in a way because they literally ENABLE Edward's actions towards Bella just because he finally found the love of his life. Like bitch! If y'all don't sit your 109 year old emo son down and teach him about how NOT to treat his girlfriend like a child (the irony is not lost on me saying this) who needs his constant help and protection, like Edward himself doesn't realise or acknowledge how fucking co-dependent Bella is of him.

So co-dependent that when he left her bitch went comatose for MONTHS! Speaking of Edward leaving Bella, can we all just agree that this man crushed that poor girls self-esteem more than a rock slide ever could? He literally gaslit her AGAIN, into believing he was just passing the time with her, that he didn't love her and should just fucking move on. That girl was such a mess she ripped her radio out of her truck until her fingers were bloody from breaking her nails. She stopped listening to music. She had visceral nightmares of walking aimlessly in the woods trying to run after Edward until she ran for so long she fucking forgot what she was running after! She got these intense feelings of panic attacks that felt like her heart was being carved out of her chest so hard she'd hug herself as if trying to hold herself together because if she didn't she fall apart, she was suffering so much she started doing suicidal shit so she could see hallucinations of her ex-boyfriend!

What part of anything I wrote above sounds healthy and not at all toxic and abusive?

And than ONE miscommunication of Jacob's trifling ass telling Edward "Charlie is arranging a funeral" convinced him Bella was dead, like BOY🫱🏾! You could have called Alice! You could have called Charlie! You know, the father of the girl you dumped and left in the woods?! So many things he could have done and he chose to be a dumbass!

And now Bella had to disappear on her dad AGAIN to go stop her dumb boyfriend from committing suicide!

And even when they are back together, he still continues being a terrible controlling boyfriend! Fucking up her car so she doesn't go visit Jacob just because he and his family are racist to werewolves.

Yeah I said it! I'm not gonna ignore Rosalie and Alice making those 'Dog' comments. I never will!

Talking about "Werewolves aren't good company" like bitch! Edward yeeted Bella into some cases because Your man tried to eat her! And Werewolves aren't good company?! She almost died FOUR times and each time was Vampire related; and it was only ONCE with a werewolf (I'm gonna defend Paul this once because Bella just randomly bitch slapped a werewolf with anger issues without knowing it).

Speaking of Wolves! I also hate the pack too. Because of how they treat Leah! I fucking hate how everyone is constantly complaining that Leah is being a bitter bitch and they hate 'suffering' through being able to listen in to her thoughts.

Like can we give the same amount of hate to Sam? Can we do that with Emily too? Because those two are two of three reasons why Leah is a 'bitter bitch' and why do I say that? Well let's go back to the whole Imprinting bullshit real quick!

Like imprinting was explained that when a wolf imprints on someone they will be whatever their imprint wants them to be, whether it be brother, friend or lover. They said it doesn't necessarily need to be Romantic, blah blah blah, so tell me why did Emily (Knowing full well that Sam was with Leah) decide to fucking steal her own cousins man? He could have been a brother figure or even a friend, and the bitch chose to make him her lover....?

Not to mention how everyone ignores Leah's hatred to being a werewolf now because she just found out she will be infertile her entire life, which to her means she will NEVER imprint and will never be over watching Sam, the man she loved and promised to love her, marry and have kids with her, give ALL of that to her fucking cousin! She feels betrayed and hurt and miserable! She has to live through constantly watching how happy Sam is with Emily both visually and mentally through their wolf psychic bond!

And the pack.....think she's the bad guy?! The FUCK?!!!!

Like every other girl, I watched the movies and read the books and now I shall rant.

Isabella Marie Swan is a romantic idiot - Now I get that vampires are supposed to suck in their prey and in a way tend to hypnotise humans so much so that common sense is not that common but seriously who follows a vampire into the woods ALONE. Even with a friend, she would not have a chance but who does that. She finds out that she is a blood singer and thinks oh we can have a wonderful relationship. Sis your blood is his drug of choice you are his literal special walking and talking blood bag. Who chooses the walking undead over their family and loved ones. Mind you ladies and gentlemen I say nothing about money cause we all need money these days can't blame nobody for looking for stability. However, Bella was not looking for stability she was looking for the sparkly disco stick connected to her equals sparkly disco ball of her boyfriend.

Renesme is totally going to hate her mum - So for those that don't know Ragamuffin is the biological demon spawn of Edward and Bella half vampire/half human. She was imprinted on by Jacob Black now what is so off-putting by this is that Jacob was infatuated with Bella throughout the whole series until of course, he made eye contact with Renesme. I should point out he really wanted her dead until the dreaded eye contact happened and the imprint bond formed. Now Reenesme is a bit self-conscious about the fact she does not sparkle and Bella tells her "You're the prettiest" Edward being the dad of the year straight up says "I have to disagree" (those two should not be parents) The kid is obviously going to grow with an inferiority complex towards her mum how will she feel when she finds out not even Her Jacob wanted her initially and that he was in love with her mother.

Imprints - I noted this before with Renesme however I wanted to address something people love to ignore. The bond could be that of a friend, protector,brother/sister or lover so why in the world is everyone letting Sam and Emily off. Yes, Emily is his imprint but he was ENGAGED to Leah her COUSIN and chose to pursue her romantically and no one but Leah is mad at him. Emily tells him no a bunch of times eventually her harsh words cause Sam to lose control and stuff but after that, she starts dating him, They could not have chosen to have a platonic or family relationship no lets eventually date and throw that in Leah's face both of them are in the wrong. Next, if they imprint on a child then that should be an automatic big brother/sister relationship nothing more nothing less.

The Cullens cover story is just awful it is ridiculous seriously Edward, Alice and Emmett could have played their kids and Rosalie and Jasper their significant others who live with them due to family issues or being listed as guardians when their parents died in a horrible crash three years ago. They just had to use the most outrageous cover story out there and it shows.

Bella did one thing right - Bella ensured herself a comfortable future I mean the Cullens are loaded she will never be wanting for anything ever, unfortunately, she will have to continuously attend school for the rest of her immortal life.

BLOODLUST IS AN EMOTION AND SO IS HUNGER - Y'all Jasper is an empath and he lives with a group of vampires to be clear he lives with Edward who is struggling not to drain his blood singer on a daily basis. The Cullens owe him a huge apology that was not his fault.

Esme is the only one with a fully developed brain- Esme is the oldest out of all the Cullens she was turned when she was 26 years old one year after the brain is said to fully develop. No wonder she seems to be the sanest person in that family.
