"No cause is lost as long as one fool is left to fight for it." (from twicespiced)

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āYes-- yes, exactly,ā
Ā Ā Ā The words are like music to her ears. A mantra Sarana has repeated to herself over and over throughout her life, when young hope was waning thin; when at the whims of Hisuiās blessings and cruelties, she had wondered if there was a point. No cause is lost. No cause is not without their reasons or underlying problems that the pursuer wishes to address. And none is without resistance or opposition-- be it by hardship or disagreement in the form of those who stand on the opposing train of thought. It is a lesson that takes time to learn, and even longer to truly believe in, yet here Akari is, saying those words to her.
Ā Ā Ā The look in her eyes show the older woman not a mere child spouting a saying handed to her by another to dismiss a conversation, but a hero determined to see a goal through to the end. In front of her sitting form, in amongst the protected valley leading to Prelude Beach, Akari stands in such a way that the medium swears she could see rays of sunlight gather around the back of her head in the form of a wordless blessing. Whoever this individual is, who fell from the sky, there is something undeniably specialĀ about her. Greatness laces her steps, wisdom beyond her years clinging to the teenagerās voice.
Ā Ā Ā It is as though she speaks not with a child, but instead a figure from legend.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āIf it is a cause you truly believe in, it can never be a lost one. Even if those around you say it is hopeless.ā
Ā Ā Ā Oh, if only the medium could tell her of her own journey-- the cause sheĀ is still fighting for, even after eleven years of dead ends and failures. Akari would listen, surely, but it is not a problem that Sarana would wish to settle upon the younger oneās shoulders. As undoubtedly as she would listen, the blonde wagers that the girl would alsoĀ offer up her help. And that is a kind of stress the older woman would not ever want to impart on her. Eyes close for a moment, hand resting against the side of her noble steed-- a Rapidash as determined as the two humans combined.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āA fool in the eyes of others you might be, but it is often their own ignorance they paint you with-- an aversion to understanding and potentially admitting they were wrong.ā
Ā Ā Ā PeopleĀ could be so strange, when it comes to such matters-- herself included. Fingers move over soft fur, warm to touch by an ever-alight mane that burns so very bright, yet is deceptively harmless. And a smile plays on her lips, knowing, open, gentle.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āWhatever cause you are holding onto, dear Akari, I cannot imagine it to be one not worth pursuing.ā
