And yes they're both consumed by delusional hope, and a belief that they desperately need to be true, because it's all they have left.

They're both obsessed with their chosen, uh...deity/saint figure, I guess?

They both fit the Seeker and Fool archetypes.

They both love stories and myths, and feel that they know a "truer" version compared with everyone else.

They're both "people people".

They both want the world to be a better place (though my original character actually tries to do good, not to remake the world...)

They're both liars who will trick and deceive people even though they don't really want to hurt anyone (but it kinda happens).

They've both got The Damn Nerve. And while I'm out here comparing my original characters to the ones I used to roleplay... I also have... *reaches into the bag* ...

the emotionally repressed, revenge-driven antagonist, who was broken by trauma and rebuilt himself on rigid self-discipline

I love that the Sableye event has camping stuff, I used it to put together a “historical vs modern” camping display to show the kids how lucky they are that they don’t have to sleep under a bit of canvas and pray they didn’t get eaten by wild Pokemon, like the Survey Corps did.

to explain away the bits of modernity I imagined this more like a modern theme park or reconstruction that’s a tourist attraction, which is why there are signs everywhere
