#tweek hcs

So I have been a fan of Southpark for maybe ever but I was only “in the fandom” around middle school and now I’m really getting back into it. And throughout all this time my number one favorite Character has always been Tweek! And because he’s my favorite, i have thoroughly analyzed him and have a lot to say.

Number one, people usually draw Tweek in a way that I PERSONALLY dislike. I draw Tweek with scabs and open sores because he’s literally on meth all of the time, he’s gonna have methmites. Meth also reduces your appetite and makes it impossible to sleep even on most sleep medications, so I also draw him scrawny to the point that ribs are showing, and make sure to give him dark circles and bloodshot eyes. He’s also probably super pale because of drugs and he’s never outside cause his parents have him constantly working- plus snowy places don’t have much sun to begin with. He’s got scurvy for sure- /j. Also his teeth would be stained from coffee and falling out due to meth use. But most people don’t do that at all and make him super anime kawaii soft boy or whatever when I prefer when people make him look insane.

Numero dos, I’m so glad most people no longer portray him as a uwu helpless little thing when he can and will defend himself- with physical harm IF HE HAS TO. He pulled a rocket launcher on some guy that one time, He’s also hella stubborn and will hold a grudge, he’s not a pushover at all. he is not gonna take the wattpad bullying treatment.

Ok ok now some headcannons before I yap about his asylum patients of parents.

•Tweek is a natural brunette: I headcannon that Tweek dyes his hair, because in the metrosexual episode he had brown crown lights and I just assumed that was the roots of his natural hair color being visible after it was brushed out. It would also make sense considering both his parents have brown hair and most southpark kids have their parent’s direct hair color. So I always draw Tweek with brunette roots, brows, and lashes whenever i draw him with them. Because depending on the expression of the character- lashes are an inconsistent addition to my style.

•Tweek hates kisses: I dont think he would like germy saliva getting anywhere near him. I headcannon it icks him out so much that he and Craig hold hands all the time cause Craig prefers kisses and dislikes hugs, while the opposite is true for Tweek. So hand holding is their compromise for physical affection.

•Tweek likes baking: no real explanation, I just think he would. But since he’s never hungry, he probably just hands them out at school or his parents sell them at the Coffee House.

•Craig’s parents care about tweek: I just think it’s sweet considering his own parents don’t give a damn, so he needs some adults who do care. I think Laura would help him bleach his hair since they both are bottle blondes.

•Tweek is friends with Kenny: mostly cause I love Twenny but also, considering his meth pickup is in Kenny’s garage or whatever, they definitely know about eachother and I think Tweek would check in him before talking to the spooky scary meth junkies outside. Ugh so sad they never interacted in cannon.

•Tweek doesn’t know how to tie his shoes: get him some velcro.

•Tweek actually hates the taste of coffee: but he’s addicted.

•His Tics and Twitches are anxiety induced. And he probably has OCD, and alot of other things. He’s super fucked up.

•friend’s with Bebe: this isn’t even a head cannon it’s just true. He mentions being at Bebe’s house during the Minecraft murder porn episode so i assume they hang out often. Also their friendship is precious to me, it’s a nice dynamic to think about.

Also Not a head cannon: but most things Tweek says are true, and everyone calls him paranoid and crazy when the things he’s saying are genuinely going on. But nobody takes him seriously cause they all hate him I guess.

••••••• OK now I’m gonna get very rambley and serious-ish.

It is revealed in The Stick Of Truth that Tweek’s parents are drug traffickers that lace their coffee with methamphetamine, the same coffee their ten year old works with and drinks constantly. Obviously, this is not good. Tweek’s parents are outright neglectful and abusive because they don’t love Tweek. They don’t see him as their son, he is just a business item to them. An employee and something marketable.

They make him work instead of playing outside and probably don’t pay him because they don’t have to. More money for them anyways. They also never help him- Tweek says as much in Tweek vs Craig.. “YOU GUYS NEVER HELP ME! YOUR STORIES NEVER GO ANYWHERE! I HATE IT. I WANT OUT!” If your kid says that to you and bangs his head against the table, you’re a really bad parent. they never give him advice or guidance or support in any way. They sprout nonsensical metaphors and stress him out more rather than helping.

Also side note: I feel like Tweek’s cannonical self-harm is majorly overlooked because it’s not a more common form like cutting or burning. He constantly bangs his head and yanks out his hair because it’s the only way he can emotionally regulate or express himself, and nobody really gives a damn.

Back on track- Tweek’s parents intentionally make him paranoid and that’s genuinely so fucked up. Not only does the coffee make him anxious, they go out of their way to scare him. In the child abduction is not funny episode they literally put a gun to his head. And Tweek lets some guy die because talking to strangers is bad- and all that is the whole reason he does almost get kidnapped at the end by the spirit of kindness. They also consistently threaten to sell him into slavery of their business fails- likely to keep him working and obedient.

ALSO the meth thing. This is really important you guys. So a good question is why would Tweek’s parents even give their small child meth in the first place? Because keeping him addicted is vital to their business strategy, duhhh. Think about it, if Tweek is addicted to their coffee he’s never going to leave. He will stay in southpark and he will never stray far from the coffee shop because withdrawal symptoms will make him go insane and feel like he is dying- or actually kill him depending on the severity of those symptoms.

So, he will always crave his parent’s coffee. Because of that he will probably drop out of high school asap and spend maybe his entire life working for his parents and making them money. Everything they do for their child is out of greed, and has nothing to do with care. They even named the coffee house “Tweek bros” instead of “Tweak bros” they used Tweek’s firstname instead of the family surname to forever tie Tweek to that coffee house instead of themselves. And- The only reason they even let him be with Craig is because having a gay son makes them look like good supportive parents and draws in more attention and business. If Tweek was not gay, his parents wouldn’t let him be in a relationship because it’s too big of a distraction from working- and if the whole town hated their yaoi love instead of obsessing over it, Tweek’s parents would be the opposite of supportive. They’d probably do what butter’s parents did when he was “bi-curious” aka eric Cartman assaulting him.

But yeah. Also while drugging Tweek and never helping him is a huge sign they don’t care- the neglect is astronomically obvious in just the little things. Looking at his character design alone says so much about the neglect. His hair- it’s always unbrushed and messy- probably a mix of not brushing it and always yanking out chunks. Also- he doesn’t ever wear a jacket and likely does not own one- which is really bad considering he cannot button his shirt. He is going to get cold because his clothes are improperly worn.

Tweek is ten- so his parents should be helping him with things he cannot do for himself. They should be washing and brushing his hair, and helping him to button his shirt and get him a jacket. But then never ever do that. Why? Cause they don’t love Tweek.

This is my “Barbarian” Tweek design for me and @splitch-draws rp! I’ve taken the liberty to create a background story/culture/history for Tweek and his people. I’ve gone as far as to use a fake language for his dialogue (the holder for Tweek’s blade says ‘Nak’ because in his language, his name translates to Nak)!

Tweek’s an archer/hunter. His “spirit animal” (hard to describe) is a deer, hence, the deer skull accessory. I could go into extreme detail about Tweek’s appearance and culture.
